This place has changed. There have been "improvements "/upgrades starting with the parking lot. Plenty of spaces and new blacktop. They also made a new driving range which has 2 tiers and is located to the rear of the clubhouse, where the old 9th hole would be. There's a practice area, putting & chipping. Not sure if you pay or not. Lot more kid oriented there, which is cool for the game. I think this element has drawn away the drinking on the course. With that said there's some drawbacks. Most notable is the hole distances. The "longest" hole is maybe 100 but most are within 65-70 yards. They have tried making the degree of difficulty moderate with hole placement, but that could've been achieved with the original layout. Should have someone checking & repairing the divots on the greens.Speaking of which, there's no water hazard anymore(9th hole). All holes are played on the front side of the course. For newbies, kids or just practice your really short game,it's alright. Finish 9 holes by myself in under an hour and shot...
Read moreI struggled about giving the place three or four stars. Because of the staff I went with four. The course itself is tiny. Longest hole is 100 yards, the shortest 50. I get the feeling that most people who come here aren’t that serious about golf or are just starting out. I’ve been playing for almost 40 years, but my daughter is just learning how to play. Back to those who play here, the vast majority have no clue about repairing their ball marks on the greens. That’s frustrating. Also, most don’t know golf etiquette, especially not considering those behind them. Also frustrating. The driving range is a double decker with a net ceiling and a 250 yard max distance. They have a goal post at that distance which is cool. They also have targets at various yardages to help practice your wedge game. Try to get a spot on the lower deck or your lofted clubs will hit the net...
Read moreWe have been coming here for quite some time. Ever since the new management has taken over they have not provided the quality of service that the previous management provided us. Today we arrive and there were not any score cards available for us to help track our kids handicap! The coffee machine is down, there are a limited amount of snacks, and barely any drinks. We bring our children here to have an optimum golf experience. Also please remember that this golf course is for the YOUTH. It is called Don Knabe JUNIOR Golf academy. All youth golf organizations should have FULL access to the course and the range. Its time to make youth golf...
