Great Wall — Restaurant in Norwalk

Ordered on Uber Eats late on a weeknight since not many other chinese restaurants are open past 9. Never been here before, and will not be returning. While it wasn’t absolutely terrible, Chu Fai Garden has way better cheap chinese food. I got the beef and broccoli combo, the beef was chewy and did not taste like beef at all. It was a pinkish gray color and smothered in a thick brown sauce. Tasted like fat from some other sort of animal. The broccoli was fine, and the fried rice was mediocre. It had a weird burnt, smoky taste. Crab rangoons were average, egg rolls were average, general tso’s chicken was average. The french fries are good but need salt. It was doable in the time crunch I was in, but by no means would this ever be a spot I would regularly go to. Everything was just meh, except for the beef which my boyfriend and I both spit out. Don’t come here unless you are desperate and in a pinch for dinner. I’ll be surprised if I make it through the night without getting sick...

Went here to pick up chicken wings with shrimp fried rice. The lady inside was sharing my food and used the tong from a bucket with raw beef with blood on it to pick up my wings. I said “excuse me did you just use the tong from that bloody meat to pick up my wings” she started stuttering and had the audacity to say no she didn’t, like I wasn’t standing there. I walked out. Be careful where you are buying food...

Stopped on my way home from work and was hoping to get some good Chinese but I didn’t even order because the lady at front didn’t even greet me and was taking a personal phone call while just staring at me.
