I have very high standards when it comes to furnishing my home and consider home design to be one of my hobbies. Safavieh in Norwalk not only met my high standards but surpassed them. Not only do they have a spacious showroom with a large collection of fabric and furnishing swatches, but they also have a tremendous list of vendors from which they can source furnishings.
The icing on the cake was getting to work with their designer, Jennie Pickering, whom I had the good fortune to cross paths with during my first visit. Jennie has designed interiors for Chanel, working with Peter Marino as well as NYC restaurants such as Koloman in NYC, so has a wonderful design pedigree. I absolutely loved having her as my design consultant as we furnished our NYC apartment.
Jennie listened well, was very responsive, and directed me to some beautiful, high-end furniture pieces that fit our brief and style. She was also practical and had no problem deftly recommending more value-priced options towards the end of our purchase process when our budget became tighter. Even my husband, who tends to be skeptical of designers (afraid that they just want to max out the budget), was completely won over by Jennie, who listened expertly and managed to steer us to beautiful pieces without breaking the bank.
I loved working with Jennie so much that I almost want to buy another home immediately, just so that I can collaborate with her again.
I savor design, yet life only offers a few occasions for me to make top-to-bottom, whole-house furniture purchases. This highly anticipated experience could have been easily jeopardized if I were working with the wrong design partner. Instead, it was pure joy to shop at Safavieh and work with Jennie, who made this "only a few times in my life" design experience a complete...
Read moreWe remodeled our home this past year, bringing our furnishings up to date seemed a daunting task...but Abraham and his staff have been very supportive and helpful. Their furniture selection and quality are unique and first rate. Walking into their store was like viewing what the interior designers see and select from. Elegant lines, comfortable and sturdy in finishes and designs we did not see in other furniture stores. Safavieh become the first place we visited as we went from room to room and 90% of the time, we found the perfect piece. Best of all, the team really knew their inventory - when we shared what we were trying to solve, they directed us to terrific options. They listened well to both aesthetic and budget requirements. We felt we had an experienced and capable partner in our do-it-yourself interior design!
We purchased furniture, rugs and accessories over the last 12 months as the construction completed. Every time we visited the store we were greeted warmly, were left alone to browse and were attended to when requested. Impressively, the staff were well coordinated, only approached by one person each visit and the manager, Abraham, would come by to offer assistance and advice when needed. The delivery and support staff were equally professional, attending to details that we appreciated.
I should mention we are highly discriminating in our assessment and praise. In our 60 plus years, we've only written reviews for a few select enterprises. I can sincerely say Safavieh has been a...
