Italian Corner Deli — Restaurant in Norwalk

Italian Corner Deli is my go too deli. They make the best chicken cutlet sandwich. I wait to visit norwalk to get my craving satisfied because I can’t find a deli that makes my sandwich like here. If you see the homemade baked mac and cheese in the hot food bar make sure to get a large you won’t regret it. The service is fast and makes sure you leave satisfied. They have a small parking lot but there is always a spot because the service is fast and efficient. They have a diverse selection of hot and cold sandwiches, breakfast sandwiches, and hot foods. I usually never write things like this but im not happy with how i was just treated. Despite their sandwiches being good I walked in today for a breakfast sandwich 34 minutes after breakfast and was directed to the owner to ask for permission for breakfast. He was very aggressive with his tone and kind of yelled at me and made me feel very uncomfortable. Theres a polite way to let clients know why you have a hard stop at 11am and that you would be kind enough to make an exception. There's no need for verbal aggression. The staff is incredibly kind though. Thank goodness for that. Whatever you do....DO NOT ask the owner for breakfast after 11am. He will chew you out. No pun intended. Owner is Tom. Word...

This review is poor not really so much the food is bad, it’s just the lack of following direction. And it’s not only here, almost everytime I order a breakfast somewhere with potatoes fries home fries etc I never get them crispy like I ask. I always request “well done” “make them crispy” “let them cook a little while longer”, with to no surprise I get soft home fries with my order. Soggy French toast as well when I asked twice if my order can cook a little longer. Again I dont wanna call out the cooks as not being able to cook but just follow directions that’s all.
