Subway claims to stand by the motto “Eat Fresh,” but tonight’s experience was anything but fresh — it was frustrating, rude, and downright unacceptable.
My mother ordered a footlong veggie sandwich and very clearly asked for extra pickles and jalapeños. What did she get? Three pickles and three jalapeños. On a veggie sandwich. When we politely asked again for more, as she had already requested, we were met with attitude and a sharp, dismissive response: “I already did.”
What followed was a completely unnecessary and ridiculous three-way argument with the staff — all over a few extra vegetables. It was embarrassing, disrespectful, and showed zero care for the customer.
Frustrated, we left and went across the street to the Subway at 588 Main Ave in Norwalk, CT, where we were immediately treated with respect and professionalism. The employees there had no issue whatsoever adding extra vegetables — and they did it without the attitude or drama.
