Taqueria La Fiesta — Restaurant in Novato

Got a burrito with carnitas and it was really bad. Watched the guy make it since the kitchen is right behind the register and he made it before taking my money... he spooned ladles of watery beans and salsa in but no rice to absorb any of the liquid. The end result was a tiny , soggy, and gross burrito. The meat was not tasty and there wasn't much of it, and after a few bites I called it inedible and tossed it.

I didn't get sick, but I noticed that he didn't wash his hands between using them on the meat and using them on the rest of the kitchen or taking my money. He seemed really pissed that we were there so late, even though it was over an hour until they closed.

This was my second visit to this place, having disliked it the first time a few years ago, but I was willing to give it another chance since it's close by. I won't be going back... I'd rather drive a couple exits away and get a delicious and huge burrito for the same price than walk here and be...

I don’t recommend this place at all. First time here and I saw how filthy the kitchen is. Nothing is cleaned. The cook uses the same gloves he handles food to handle cash. Another customer came in and he didn’t switch gloves started cooking handling meat after giving me my order & change.

All the picture prices are wrong. Everything is a few dollars more expensive as of this review.

I ordered two tortas Cubana and the steak wasn’t even edible. Super tough to chew not tenderized or cut. The chips where burnt and soaked in grease. Total I wasted was $34 including 2 drinks. Not worth the price at all.

I ate here once -- the server/cook was friendly and I noticed he practiced good hygiene washing the cooking surface in between making my steak burrito and the seafood item before it.
