John and Lisa made our wedding cake 4 1/2 years ago. I remember when my wife and I walked in there and met Lisa for the first time years ago, I was thinking how rude she was with us and left a lasting negative impression since then...
My wife wanted to surprise me with a birthday cake that was a miniature replica of our wedding cake. They requested pictures of our wedding cake to replicate it and my wife sent 2 detailed pictures via email.
When my wife arrived home, she realized that it was not a replica of our cake, it was in fact missing the sugar coated outside and other piped details... My wife also wanted to add chocolate chips originally to the cake and Lisa said "it won't taste good so we won't do it." See, it's funny because red velvet cake is actually 87% chocolate anyways and the buttermilk acidity releases anthocyanin in the coca that causes it to become red, so why would chocolate chips be terrible in it again? It's been a bit since culinary school for me and I cannot absorb BS.
My wife called up Lisa to tell her the order was missing things, after Lisa barked at my wife and offered nothing as a solution and blamed her for sending bad pictures because they cannot see the details in their printouts, I stepped in; just to tell her how rude she is and the way she speaks down to customers is disgusting. I can see now by the reviews below, I am not the only one that thinks she is terribly rude and low class. Thanks for making the wrong cake and for treating me like that on my birthday. They just lost 2 customers, but I don't think they care, judging from...
Read moreI really can’t say enough great things about this place. John and Lisa are so nice and helpful. They really go above and beyond! My dad got our wedding cake here almost 8yrs ago and it was the most amazing cake I have ever had. At the time I was living full time in Las Vegas so we ended up flying back with the top so we could freeze it and eat it a year later and it was just as delicious. Well I ended up moving back to Michigan part time after having my daughter and had to find this place to get her third birthday cake. As soon as I told Lisa who I was she remembered which I thought was really cool. So I ordered her cake and when we picked it up we were absolutely blown away. The outside decorations that they do is just incredible then when you bite into the inside it’s like a taste of heaven and I don’t really even like cake.. So now I make sure to order every cake that I need way in advance to make sure we get them because of how amazing they are. To add they just mad my sons first birthday cakes and these were next level amazing. I will post pictures so you can see. It’s really incredible to see how much they care about what they give to their customers. I will be a loyal customer as long as I’m in Michigan and I told my husband I need to be here for everyone’s birthdays for the cakes because I don’t wanna be disappointed in Las...
Read moreI absolutely love the cakes and the owners at the Patisserie Parmentier. My favorite cake by far has been a Fun Fetty Cake they custom made for my brother‘s 40th birthday. It’s one of his favorite cakes to eat, so I asked them if they could make it for him because I wanted to get him a cake that reflected his goofy, child-at-heart personality instead of an over-the-hill kind of cake and left the design creativity to John (told him I really wasn’t picky and to just not make it girly). They beyond exceeded expectations, both from a design as well as taste standpoint. Everyone at the party LOVED THE CAKE and kept saying it was one of the best tasting and moist cakes they’ve had. My brother practically devoured it that night and couldn’t wait to get the leftovers the next day. I’ve never been disappointing ordering from here and I’m sure you won’t...
