I Love Korean BBQ — Restaurant in Oʻahu

I seriously hate to do this but it's really fair and I'm sad. I CHOOSE this place once a week on a Saturday to eat meat. I choose spicy Bar B que chicken for the last 2 months because no matter what EVERY time I have gone for 2 months... " we ran out of the spicy KOREAN bar b que. On this day they gave me regular bar b que chicken. Super Fast my order came. I noticed right away it wasn't the spicy one. I politely instructed that the chicken was the wrong order. Immediately took the plate back within 2mins return my plate. I was happy. When I got home I was heart broken. Appears as tho they speared the sauce on the chicken. Didn't even take the time to spear the back of ANY OF THE chicken pieces. I have been Goin here for a VERY LONG TIME. Food has always been hot and fresh. Appears they had some older chicken they had cooked from another order. I tried my best to rectify this situation by calling multiple times... NO ANSWER. I truly support small businesses. I have been coming for 3 years, and I must say, the food is just as good as when I first came, if not even better! I had a party for my graduation and thought to celebrate with Korean BBQ. I got a large kalbi pan, large meat Jun pan, a vegetable pan.

I’ll start off by saying my first impressions, the presentation of the food was beautiful. They weren’t just thrown onto a pan and called a day, everything was placed like they were very well thought out. The vegetables in the vegetable pan were all so fresh and tasted amazing. The same goes for the meat. The kalbi was very juicy and very tender, the meat jun was nicely fried. But what made the food even better was the heart of the owner. She gave us, what I believe was called, nori spring rolls for free. Each large meat pan had the spring rolls around each of them.

If your in the mall looking for a place to eat I Love Korean BBQ is the place to be! When you first walk into the store you see a whole variety of monsters and reign to choose from, vegetables full of color, and a very unique selection of drinks compared to the other stores around the Kamakana Alii food court.

From my experiences there was always very professional and stunning plating done by the people in the front. I've never seen a plate place care so much about the presentation of their plates, the little things like how the sides look on the plate is what separates good food from amazing food and this place from any ordinary plate place. I ordered the spicy pork plate and with the combination of vegetables and pork it was an unforgettable experience.
