M & M BBQ — Restaurant in Oʻahu

So we decided to try out this place based off of everyone’s stellar reviews. It was a small little place with maybe 4 stalls in front for parking. There were 2-3 tables inside. Seems like a place that people just stop in and pick up food. They sell cigarettes there.

The woman inside was super friendly and accommodating. We ordered the mochiko chicken and garlic chicken. When she brought the plates, it looked really bland BUT once we took a bite, we knew that it was a gem. The chicken was really moist and had a lot of flavor in it like it had been marinated. There was the perfect amount of breading on it to give it a nice crisp outside, not overbearing like a lot of places nowadays.

Overall, I enjoyed this place and would enjoy catering from here but I am not one to normally eat plate lunches so I probably wouldn’t be back. But if I was in the mood and in the area, I would come back! Outstanding...

This place is a great little family run take-out plate lunch place. The food is great and the prices are ridiculously amazing.

I haven’t seen plate lunch prices like this in like 10-15 years. Their regular plates are cheaper than most other places’ MINI plates. And again, the food tastes great. Can’t even think of another restaurant that even comes close to these guys as far as quality and value.

My family randomly stumbled upon it a couple months ago and now we come here whenever we are in the area. Awesome...

Heaping mounds of flavorful battered and fried garlic chicken morsels.. in the plate! New find tonight (off the usual plan) - Chinese chicken salad! Happy dance for the bursting container of generous amounts of teri-chicken slivers, finely-julienned carrots & celery, thin crisp wonton strips on iceberg lettuce. Hadn't been here for awhile... so very happy to see they have the same great prices! Thanks, M&M! See you...
