Ululani’s Hawaiian Shave Ice — Restaurant in Oʻahu

7/7/24 - A pal raved about this place and I was finally able to try it today. It was crowded inside and I went in at just the right time because as I was standing there, the line ended up going out the door. Friendly lady at the counter asked if it was my first time & since I told her that it was, she was really helpful in explaining the ordering process and flavors of ice cream and other goodies that could be added. She explained that it was Roselani ice cream but that the quality of this ice cream was higher than the Roselani sold in grocery stores. Since I love Roselani Haupia I decided on a keiki with pineapple and coconut flavor and haupia ice cream. Love love the very fine shave ice texture! It's so fine that it's almost a creamy consistency. The flavors were delicious-not as strong and syrupy as I'm used to. This is definitely gourmet shave ice with a gourmet price! The service was amazing. They were very welcoming, served with a great smile. My friend and I came in the last 10 minutes before closing. Served all of us and asked if there is anything else we need. They told us to help ourselves with a whole box of cards they were giving away on the side. Pokémon and One piece. It was so sweet, had a great conversation with them. The shave ice is amazing, so smooth like sherbet and drenched with delicious syrup. The many options of toppings and different ice cream flavors are amazing. I chose macadamia nut ice cream in mines and it was so good. Middle one in the image. I tried my friends and the syrups have so much flavor it tasted just like the fruit and the chocolate tasted really chocolate. I want to come back to try more combinations with the many flavors. A solid 4 star experience. It’s a pretty pricey desert experience. Delicious flavors. It took about 30-35 minutes from standing in line to receiving the shaved ice.

Clean location. Only about 20 seats inside and about 10 outside including a bench.

Parking can be tough as it’s shared with other restaurants
