Cecil Whittaker's Pizzeria — Restaurant in O’Fallon

Absolutely horrible customer service. Actually ZERO customer service or care for sales loss or customer retention. If I could give this location zero stars, I would. My family consists of 9 people if you only count my parents and siblings without spouses or grandchildren, and we love CWP...we typically eat at this location at least once a month, and you can imagine how high our total usually is. Tonight we found a coupon via the CWP website Called “Cecil’s party special” (3 two topping large pizzas, a salad, and appetizer for $34.99-with the option to upgrade the pizza size for $1.50 per pizza). The girl taking our order said that the coupon was not something their location does, and that she wouldn’t upgrade the pizzas or ask the manager about it. My mom hung up, and I called the restaurant back to speak with the manager hoping that he would honor the coupon and not lose what would have been a $50+ sale over $4.50. WRONG. He (Chase) was extremely rude, spoke to me in a condescending tone, told me that “this isn’t McDonalds” and when I explained to him that we frequent that location and that he would lose more than $4.50 in the long run, he responded by saying “Ok”. He also would not give me any kind of information to contact corporate or a regional director. We ordered a large catering order for Christmas Eve they were on time food was delicious and hot delivery driver was very nice ! Also ordered 2 x- large pizza deals tonight one was BBQ chicken that was so amazing you all have to try it. It’s no longer on the menu but Landon had suggested it with fried chicken so we tried it. We also ordered chicken fingers the 2nd pizza was hamburger and pepperoni with black olives they were all piping hot and delicious. My husband and I called another pizza place earlier that was delivered by grub hub. The driver was amazing but unfortunately we received the entire order wrong when we called to let them know the actual restaurant the staff member completely blew us off that we received the wrong order and told us the manager was to busy to talk to us. The point here is if you want your order done right and you want hot pizza Cecil Whittakers pizzeria on HWY K is the place to order from Consistency, friendliness, accuracy, delicious food done right every time is the place to call plus affordable prices I know we will. 4/18/2025 - Thanks for taking the time to look at my reviews, but it’s honestly disappointing that you chose to respond with negative energy rather than using my feedback as an opportunity to improve — both in training your staff and enhancing the overall customer experience.

The professional and appropriate response would’ve been to acknowledge the issue, offer a refund, and extend an invitation to make things right, even though your establishment had already exhausted its chances.

It’s unfortunate to see a newly owned and operated business handle feedback in such an immature, combative, and unprofessional way. Responding this way isn’t just a bad look — it’s a sure way to push potential customers away.
