As someone who used to work here, I can help explain why this Jimmy John's won't deliver to your area. First off, they have a certain range they can deliver to. They can go as far north as Rawson Ave and as far south as Oakwood Rd. As far west as 27th street and as far east as Pennsylvania Ave. Secondly, there are dead zones. So if you've called and they don't deliver to you and you try the Franklin location and they don't deliver to you, chances are you are in a dead zone and they can't help it. So even if you are 3 miles away, you could just be on the boarder of the range and delivery drivers always have to get the 'okay' from the manager to deliver to you or not. If there is the chance where you order one time and they deliver but the next they can't, Jimmy John's is always hiring new and young people who most likely do not drive and do not know the area so they send it off anyway but the next time they deny you, it is just a simple mistake that one person made. Another thing is when people mess up your order. Jimmy John's is supposed to be freaky fast and that means that sandwiches have to be made in under 30 seconds which is actually a very short amount of time. And since they are always hiring new people, sandwiches are most likely being made by new people. When I worked there, people would always complain about the fact that they wanted it on wheat. For example, say you wanted the Big John #2 on wheat, you have to say that you want in on wheat because each sandwich automatically comes on the French bread. Or even if you mumble the order, Jimmy John's is not responsible for mumbled orders. Some mistakes are easy fixes like if you wanted a Beach Club #12 with no cucumbers but you got cucumbers, you can easily just take them off and leave it at that. Read moreThe online order status showed that the order was out for delivery and then delivered but it did not actually get delivered. About 15 minutes after it was said to be delivered it arrived. The drinks and sandwiches were brought into the house and we found that there was soda that was spilled all over the inside of the bag and the sandwiches. When we called to let the store know they said that we needed to bring the food back in because the driver said that he didn't spill anything on them and there was no way that they would have caused the issue. They blamed us for it. I pointed out to them that we have a doorbell camera that caught the situation from us taking the drinks and food bag from the driver all the way to us opening the bag and seeing the wet sandwiches. Nowhere on there do we spill any soda onto the sandwiches. From the time that the driver gave us the food to the time that my wife says these sandwiches are soaking wet with soda. In the camera footage, the sodas and the sandwiches are held completely separate from each other. The sodas remain sealed.
So now we have to argue with them over our food being destroyed and not delivered on time. This is not the first time that situations like this have happened where they demand we bring the food back to their store. Or they have made mistakes on the order and refuse to bring out a new order.
They also wouldn't let me speak to the manager when I called in.

Read moreEvery time myself or one of my coworkers order lunch from this store it takes between 1 - 3 hours to arrive. I wish I was exaggerating, but sadly I am not. It doesn't matter what day of the week or what time the order is placed. They are reliably slow and do not extend the courtesy of at least giving you a heads-up that it is not coming on time despite the app saying it is out for delivery. Today I waited for an hour before I called to ask about my order. I was told that the order is out for delivery now (I am located 6 mins away). 25 minutes later and still no sign of JJ's, so I called back to cancel my order. I was assured that the order was truly on its way now and that it was not made over an hour ago so I decided not to cancel. Another 25 minutes later (a total of almost 2 hours from when I placed the order) it FINALLY ARRIVES! Contrary to what the person over the phone told me (that the sandwich was fresh), the delivery driver told me that it was old. I do not blame the driver who was very sweet and honest, but I do have an issue with the incorrect information I was given during my 2 phone calls to the store. Whoever I spoke to definitely told me whatever he could to prevent me from cancelling whether or not it was correct. TLDR; Don't order delivery from this store unless you want to wait 1-3 hours for an old, soggy sandwich....
