Visiting the area, I thought I’d try because of high reviews. The Oak Creek diner. Parking lot was full. There’s a lot of people in the restaurant. I was ignored from the hostess stand to be seated and they took the next group and once I was seated a gentleman that comes around with coffee, which is fantastic, but I was drinking tea, tried to pour coffee into my cup and I said now I want hot tea and he just continued to pour hot coffee into it so that happened once I got him to understand then he took a couple away. He gave me a new cop. The server finally arrived. I just ordered a basic two eggs over medium crispy, bacon home fries, and whole wheat toast Took a while but when it arrived, the eggs were over hard. The bacon was perfect. The fries were more like hashbrowns so that was weird. The toast wasn’t cut so definitely not what I’m used to what I come back if I just wanted a regular breakfast that’s fine, but I brag about it not really, the staff hustle, but they don’t check on you much.

They are fast and efficient. Came here for the first time for breakfast with a friend. It’s a plain-looking building with a parking lot out front and a few small windows. Inside, there’s a counter area and a larger dining room to the left. It was early Friday morning. We were greeted and seated right away, with waters and beverages brought shortly after. The server checked back with us several times before we were ready to order. The menu selection is standard breakfast fare — eggs, omelets, skillets, pancakes, country fried steak, etc. (You won’t find avocado toast or lox and bagels here.) Our omelets came out almost before we ordered them :) My veggie omelet was straightforward but under-seasoned — it needed some salt and pepper. The accompanying English muffin was fine, though it could have been toasted a bit more. Overall, a quick and efficient stop for breakfast, but not a place I’d go out of my way to return to.

While there were signs saying that masks were required they did nothing to enforce that rule as there were customers in the front without masks on. Currently a state rule and clearly because of the sign is a restaurant rule. The tables were not spaced the CDC social distance requirement of 6ft apart from butt spot to butt spot. This made me feel very uncomfortable but due to the fact that I was with other people I was unable to just leave at that point. However, this did make me feel very uncomfortable in the restaurant. The tables that looked like they were blocked off with caution tape for that 6ft requirement distance had some that they had clearly ripped off the caution tape to allow for customers to sit in those spaces. When we made it to our table the table was originally, from corner of table to corner of table, about 3.5 ft. We moved the table farther away to try to make it better but were only able to move at most a foot away. Then while we were still eating they carried a table from the back of the restaurant to right behind our table, again not 6ft, to once again fit another couple to sit and eat. Clearly this restaurant care more about making money and fitting as many people into their restaurant rather than their customers safety or the rules of the CDC or state. At this point I got up and left because I couldn’t take their lack of care. As regards to their employees, our waitress never gave us her name and though she did for the most part wear a mask, it was not covering her nose and she was always asking all of the questions she had right next to us. The lack of covering the nose makes the benefits of wearing a mask null in void because it is not going to stop anything. Also, while there were employees who did wear masks and follow the whole stay a little bit away from the table when asking questions, getting orders, etc; there were employees who would walk around the restaurant with no mask on at all. While cleaning tables I did witness rather than cleaning the whole table they only bothered to clean where absolutely necessary. I saw at least one table get only half off the table cleaned. While the food did taste good, the attitude and atmosphere of the restaurant ruined my visit. I work in a restaurant and have for many years, so I know what is required of restaurants at this time. I will never return to this restaurant. If I could give them a negative star I would. I do have photos of some of the things that I mentioned. This use to be one of my favorite restaurants. It really upset me how much this...

First I'll say that we didn't know they closed at 3. That's on us. We got there at 2:50 and were told unkindly they closed at 3 and we were too late. I was bringing my elderly neighbor and she was so disappointed. She had been craving a fish fry and didn't have one for over a year. She didn't have anything else out to eat. Someone else walked in and ordered a to-go dinner. So my neighbor decided that we'd take the fish fry to go. For our senior dinner at $8.50 (plus surcharge) we got 2 SMALL pieces of fish. They tasted good, but nothing to rave about. We got a lot of fries that were limp from being under done. There was a small amount of Cole slaw. And even though we didn't want it, we got corn. While we were waiting my friend said that the dinner comes with dessert. So I asked and they said IF we ate in, yes, but because we were doing a takeout, they couldn't include it because the desserts were on glass plates and they had no way to include it. So... We didn't get dessert. In my mind they should have reduced the cost since we lost part of the meal instead adding a surcharge. The surcharge: While I'm standing at the register asking about the dessert, I see that were will be charged an extra $1 for the to go containers. So, we paid a dollar more and didn't get our desserts. So, as we sat there I'm looking at a table of two ladies chatting away. No masks, even though they weren't eating. There was a big sign on the door that masks were required. When you walk in, there's a sign that said if you don't have a mask you'll have to buy one for $5. Five dollars??? Highway robbery! Anyway, back to the ladies. I realize they are employees and they are wrapping cleaned eating utensils in napkins just inches from their mouths while they were talking. I said something to my friend. One of the ladies heard me and just glared at me. The is the second time I got "just okay" food from this place and the employees treated us badly. Before Covid, a friend and I stopped there after church. While we were enjoying the coffee, after we had eaten, we were told we'd have to leave as they needed the table. We weren't done with our coffee yet. So, for these reasons they are crossed off my list. I won't take my neighbor back, either. If she insists on this place, she can find someone else to...

I'm surprised at the reviews but maybe it's different when you dine in. I got my food to go I called in my order. First I was told 10 minutes and I was there at 11 minutes but somehow my omelette was lukewarm. I ordered toast that was not toasted at all. It's like they put it in the toaster for a few seconds. It was soggy like. Toast means toasted. The Omelette that I ordered was so very thin not like I've seen at other places. I ordered some veggies and sausage in there with cheese but the whole inside of The Omelette was full with so much cheese that it was hard to eat. Also, the cheese is not real cheese it's more like Kraft singles. Which is pretty disgusting. They charge you $15 for an omelette that is super super thin. Not worth the money. Then the hash browns that I paid an extra $3 for were burnt on top and complete mush in the middle. Again not good at all. I took one bite of the omelette, looked in the center seeing all the cheese was all the way through and didn't take another bite. The hash browns one bite, the toast one bite, and everything went in the trash. So I now get to work my 16-hour shift hungry. Again maybe dining in is better but I won't be back. Oh, and did I mention even though I ordered my food on the phone and picked it up I was still asked to leave a tip, which I did .That is getting to be ridiculous. I'm leaving a tip for you to hand me my food and the cook to do their job? Restaurants that actually have honor do not ask for a tip when you pick up your own food. Sad. $...
