What a terrible experience! First of all I would like to say the ladies behind the desk were very kind.... Now having stated that here's our awful experience. My son and I were attending an event. We arrived promptly at 3 for check in. The room has been reserved the night before with my husband's card. I had it with me along with my idea to confirm and check in. They would not use the card... Ok fine I'll pay cash. I pay with 20's to be told after I've paid that they can't give me change. I would have to come back at 7 am the following morning to get my change. Something about their tills were closed and locked for that shift. Why couldn't the next shift help I don't know. Anyways. After about 15 mins we get so checked in. Head to our room and the first thing I always do is check the bedding. To my disgust I found filthy sheets. Dark course hair in one bed, bodily fluids the other! Obvious after sex! I had my son wait in the car. I went to the desk and let them know what I had found. They immediately called and asked for new sheets I please asked for complete all new bedding. They were kind at the desk and said of course and relayed to change all of it. I walked to our car. Waited. Waited. Out stormed a very unhappy maid. She went to our room cigarette in hand. Laid it ordered our door. Where she disappeared in to our room for about 10 mins. No idea what was going on. We were in a hurry so I went back to the lobby. Apologized for being insistent but we had to go we had a schedule. Again very kind at the desk. It's been about 25 mins since we checked in. On the way back to my son who was waiting in the car still. The main flung our door open. Upset ranting, swearing, and raving in Spanish. I took 5 years. Enough to piece most of what I could hear together.... Very unkind things. She brought one bed comforter out with her flung it over hey shoulder and disappeared. Left the room wide open. Passed another 10 mins no mean maid and no clean bedding. I went back to the lobby to ask for assistance. They walkied her asked her to hurry. She carried on back to them. They covered for her saying she was talking with the manager she'll be right there. It's now about 35 mins since I've checked in. She came back to the room more swearing and raving. This time big it was very obscene obnoxious. People looking out widows and opening doors. Called attention to the entire situation and us like we had done something wrong! Terribly embarrassing us. It was at that time my son became very upset said he didn't want to stay here. I could see on his face he was scared and didn't understand what and why this was going on. We had been on the road over 6 hours. Were trying to get to an event... I had enough. I was embarrassed and very felt unsafe. I had all these thoughts of would our car be safe tonight. Has something been done to the room or beds? Would something happen in retaliation to our things while we were gone or us if we started the night? I felt like crying. I couldn't believe this! My son was upset and scard and I felt unsafe..... Over what.... That it was asked we have clean unsoiled bedding! I told my son to get in the car lock the doors and wait for me. I went back to the lobby very upset. Doing my best to not cry I told them what was happening. About the scene. My son being scard and I felt unsafe and through tears at that point I let them know we won't stay here. They were kind. Figured out how to get me a full refund. I shook the woman at the desks have and thanked her for her help and understanding. I got in the car and we left in a hurry. I'd like to add that another couple who was checking in during one of my lobby visits also came to the lobby to request new bedding because they had dirty sheets. We left about 50mins after check in. After the event. No place to stay. We ended up catching a quick nap in the car that night at a well lit rest area..... Do not DO NOT stay here! Please....

My son and I came to Milwaukee to participate in the Age Group USAT National Championship.
This was a really bad experience. Upon arriving, our initial room smelled very heavily of bleach and there were cigarette butts everywhere outside the room. We decided to turn on the air conditioner and leave for a bit to see if it helped. My 15 year old son and I immediately had burning throats after having only been in the room for a minute or two.
We purchase cleaning supplies just in case while we were gone. Upon returning the smell had not improved, so I asked if we could see/smell another room. We smelled 2 more rooms from the doorway. The woman called 1 of the rooms that we checked a deep clean. It smelled like the original room. The other room smelled a bit musty, but with our new cleaning supplies, we decided to try it.
Unfortunately, there were more cigarette butts outside this room than the other. 2 women stood on the balcony above our door, smoked, and dropped their cigarettes. A 1 legged old lady in a wheelchair sat half in and half out fo the room next to us and chain smoked, dropping her butts in our doorway. There were cigarettes everywhere --all over this property. In addition, the Red Roof Inn attendant stood outside the office entry and chain smoked. The main office also wreaked of smoke. It is seriously a smoker's paradise.
Even after scrubbing our floors, sanitizing all surfaces, we just couldn't get away from the smoke. We knew they were smoking outside our door, because the smell was shooting straight through the air conditioner. It was horrific.
Both my son and I were in Milwaukee to race a triathlon. We are healthy people that do not smoke. We are also very allergic to dust, grass, smoke, etc. This hotel just about killed us.
I've stayed in hotels all over the world, including Red Roof Inns, and this was the worst.
Also...
-The air conditioner was busted in all rooms I visited.
-The desk chair was missing from the original room.
-No remote control for the TV.
-Wifi basically did NOT work.
-mopped the floor 4 times to get the...
Read moreAfter being a guest on and off for a year because.me and my boyfriend were caught off guard by a life changing event I can say that this was the worst motel ever. Air conditioner/heating units are broken. The last bed we had was sinking and had wood hanging off of it. The rooms all had mold and made breathing hard. The ice machine was broken more than it worked. The floors were so dirty it would take a package of Swiffers just to clean it. There was also semi trucks with refrigerators attached that would be so loud they would make the room vibrate. The sink handles were broken in most rooms. The shower curtain rods were hanging off the wall. The pilows were has thick as a sheet of paper. The beds, sheets floors toilets mirrors all had burn marks and holes. The coat rack hung off the wall. They almost kicked us out once cause our baby was born with a cleft palette and they don't like people with medical needs. Our room flooded on e and we received no companesation. Then after paying $20k+ we were put on the do not rent list for no reason with a small baby. This .wàs a blessing in disguise since the place we are at now has an older ac unit that works better than theirs. The sink is not missing the stopper. The lights all have light bulbs and the maod service is quick nice and understands our needs.
In response to Ricardo...these issues were brought up to management and the front desk. In was threatened that I would be on the DNR list sooner if I complained anymore. Other guest who have complained have been put on the DNR list also. the first shift lady cant even walk the grounds let alone get to the second floor. She's handicap but nice. The 2md shift lady does absolutely nothing but look at her cell phone and treat people poorly. The 3rd shift gentleman doesn't want to hear about complaints because he knows they won't be taken care of and things will just stay the same. Like I said for the money we spent we should not have been threatened but at least had someone come look at...
