It was my last resort and quick place close enough to spend the night at after a long 6 hours outside waiting for red cross and etc etc due to a fire in my residence, we got evacuated out for the night, only the front half was burnt and luckily was able to go back. But paid 100$ security deposit on the card and was told will receive it in 2 to 3 business days. Was there on Sunday night , got there at about 930pm. Checked out at 11 obviously. The girl, at the front desk at night was sweet, she was still even there the next morning and told me "I got you" with the security deposit back and was very sweet, asked for her name & forgot it already but remembered it started with an "N"? I hope and think? It was pretty and she was about younger and my age. She was new because I didn't see her last year when stayed 2 weeks downstairs in back part. This time experience was definitely way better then last time, I stayed in room 253 and it was quiet for us. And a good rest/relaxation after a long hard stressful day/evening due to the fire and having to leave. The room was very clean, just a small smudge on the wall in bathroom but nothing major. Very clean! The next morning went to return my key after the man gave us an extra 15 mins to pack up and go, and seen him in the hallway walking towards the office & I gave it to him instead and brought up the security deposit and he told me the same thing the girl said, so hopefully come tomorrow I should have it.?! 🙏 I even told the guy his room is cleaned, only used a rag on the sink and some garbage, that's it , told him the beds are made neatly etc etc. Thanked both the girl and the man in the red shirt cleaning the rooms I believe and who knocked on our door, thank you so much! They were both very friendly and told them I'm giving a review! ❤️ hope if I'm there again, they are the ones to deal with again. Because my last years experience, well a little over a year and a half, wasn't as good due to a lady and her bf constantly arguing and she worked there as well, her room was right by the window downstairs few doors from me, she even came into my room drunk trying to take her shirt off and touch on my boy, and she was a worker there. Didn't see her this time. But maybe that's a good thing because she was Terrible! They were the reasons we left in the first place. More to the story but it's in the past now. I enjoyed this time around and that's all that matters. Big thank you again to the man in the red shirt who knocked on our door to check out and gave me 15 more mins and our small talk as well after giving the key back, very generous guy! & of course the sweet girl working in the front desk whom also spoke with the next morning, as I was leaving she was too! Good job you guys 👏 I think it's getting better there. P.s happy early valentines day(: 💝

If I could put 0 stars I would. Even if this is your cheapest/ an only option, avoid it by all means. Upon entering our room, it REAKED of cigarettes. It was so strong it made me extremely nauseous to the point I immediately had to lay down. We were right next to a doorway that lead outside to a smoke area so I’m not sure if that was why the smell was so strong, but it was extremely disgusting and unbearable. Fridge/ freezer had food build up in the bottom which was extremely gross. Toilet did not work, when we informed front desk they told us to use the plunger & we did not have one. They made it a big deal to send one back to our room… Bathroom had broken wood hanging off the mirrors, makeup stains all over the walls and multiple holes in the walls. A lot of indication the rooms aren’t thoroughly cleaned. During our 2nd to last night I walked down to speedway to get a snack, when I got back I got in the shower. When I got out of the shower I took a bite of my donut to see a massive cockroach sitting right on top of it. Immediately I felt violated and did not enjoy the rest of our stay one bit, we also felt as we couldn’t even bring food into our room due to the roaches. In fact after the cock roach encounter we did not sleep until we checked out of our room. If you inform anyone at the desk about the cockroach problem they will tell you it’s “nothing new” and there’s “nothing they can do.” We did ask for a room change and were denied. (Not sure if it’s because it was our last day of our stay or not). During the middle of the night (during different nights) they tried to charge my debit card multiple times and I was never given an explanation as to why there were additional attempted charges. I did pay the $100 cash deposit at check in which would not make sense as to why they tried to charge me an additional $100 + $40. Also if you need extended checkout times they don’t make accommodations for that. We were told we could wait in the lobby for transportation after checkout and then told to leave because transportation was taking too long, leaving us stuck outside the hotel with many bags in 10 degree weather. I don’t believe this hotel cares about the safety/ hygiene or wellness of people they have staying, they just want the money. Save yourself the time and stress and spend the extra money on a different place. I did call the Milwaukee health department along with the BBB regarding this location. Avoid it at all costs if possible.

My boy friend and I planned a one night get away at the last minute. This location was our only option due to the fact that the other hotels located nearby were completely booked. As soon as you walk in it’s inviting; there’s no smell, it’s clean and cozy. But as we were waiting in line to check in, another person ahead of us complained about his remote not working for the television in their room. Automatically I think nothing of it because maybe it’s just his television; ours will work just fine. The lady behind the counter was nice and she gave us the keys to our room right away. As we walked down a hall to get to our room the floors were very creaky, almost to the point where you feel like you’ll disturb other people if you walked past their rooms. The door to our room was wide open and that was very concerning because it felt like anyone can come into our room if they felt like it. Instead of the room have one king size bed (which is what I reserved initially) it had two twin beds. With no attitude at all we went back to the front desk and she told us that “Well it was the first option that came up so that’s why I gave you that room”.. in my head I’m thinking well why are you so quick to go off of what’s in front of you? I thought her decision making was a little shocking since she didn’t ask to see the email on my phone to begin with. Our new room was located on the second floor and you have to go up a dirty dark creaky stairwell (since there’s no elevators) to get to our room and as soon as we walked in the window was cracked open as seen in the pictures. It smelt like cigarettes and dead animals. The bathroom was filthy, the walls were filthy, the fridge, the door nobs etc. EVERYTHING was filthy but I made a ancient discovery... one of the drawers had a large pile of peanut shells inside of it so that goes to show that NO ONE cleans. Another thing that disappointed me the most was that the smoke detector was GONE. If there was a fire myself or my boy friend could have gotten hurt just because safety is not a number one priority at this place. I calmly gave the keys back to the front desk and told her we would find somewhere else. DO NOT COME HERE IF IT IS YOUR LAST OPTION. IT IS UNSAFE AND FILTHY!!

Reviews of Econo Lodge Milwaukee Airport

I had to give Econo one star to post this, but this hotel should not even get that. My husband and I took a trip to Disney with our two small kids and stayed at Econo lodge using Park, Sleep, Fly. The rooms were okay, and we got our shuttle to the Airport on time. However, when we returned from our trip with our two small children and tried to call the Hotel to get our shuttle back no one answered the phone for a half and hour. Finally I went inside and talked to the people working at the South West Baggage claim desk. When I let them know what was happening they said that it happens all the time at Econo Lodge, we are not the first, and we wouldn't be the last ones stranded at the airport trying to get our shuttle back. I think they felt bad for us so they were kind enough to try and call the hotel as well, with no luck (3 x's). Between my husband and I, and the baggage claim workers we called a total of 17 x's with no answer at the hotel. Finally my husband said he had the receptionist at the hotel on the phone but he couldn't understand what she was telling him. She just kept saying "no shuttle service after 5, "go right way". He kept on asking her what she was trying to tell him. She proceeded to say that her English was just fine and that he needs to "go right way", then said that she was going to hang up on him if he asked her again. So my husband said "don't hang up I'm just trying to understand what you are telling me to do." She finally said "go inside, baggage claim 3, and "go right way". So, we walked inside to baggage claim 3 and saw that there was a shuttle service named Goriteway. (We are not from Milwaukee and we do not fly that much so we had no clue that there was a shuttle service called Goriteway!!!!). We then talked to a gentlemen at the goriteway desk and explain to him what happened, and again we find out that this happens ALL THE TIME!! When we got back to the hotel, I was very upset that this has happened more than once, so I went in to talk to the receptionist and explain to her that; #1 she should have told us if we arrive after 5pm we need to take the Goriteway shuttle service by baggage claim 3, #2 it should not have taken 17 phone calls and a half an hour to reach someone at the hotel, #3 if you need to tell someone to use "Goriteway" she needs to explain that it is a shuttle service....do NOT just tell people to "Go right way" because that does not make sense to someone that has never seen our used that shuttle service. After explaining this the receptionist the first thing she tells me is that she never heard the phones ring. When I said we called 17 x's how could you not hear 17 phone calls??? She got upset with me and handed me a card with her managers information and said "you can leave now bye bye! When I asked for her name she said Pam. Then I asked for the managers extension and she said there is no extension, I will just get her and that I can leave now. As I was walking out the door she shouted "have a safe trip!" That's when I notice she was laughing with some other people (probably friends) using a public computer". I think it can be safe to assume that she and her friends had been using the computer and that is why she did not answer the phones. Needless to say this was the worst experience I have ever had with not only a hotel but a business!! I would appalled and embarrassed if I were the manager of Econo Lodge. (I have tried to get in touch with manager several time and he never seems to be at work, so I called Park Sleep Fly to file a complaint.) This was unacceptable and I hope this review means it will not happen to...

First, there was no close-by hotel with availability so. Money saved for this type of hotel is not worth it. The front desk agent not only was not friendly but very rude. Handling another issue in front of other guests is not good nor ok. Rooms were not that much. After entering the first room given, more than 2 garbage bags were in the room and all linen was on the floor all over. After coming downstairs with all the luggage again, the front desk lady tries to make it seem as if it was normal there finding dirty rooms. She gave me another room and after getting in, I inspected the room. I noticed there were holes in the bathroom door. The fridge was clogged with ice. The tv was not working (it was not connected, cables were all over, anthena was apparently broken or something of the sort). The coffee maker was missing the coffee pot. Carpet full of stains. I went downstairs to let the front desk agent know and before I finish coming down the stairs, said "you again? what now?" I explained to her about the missing items in the room and the problems it has and her responses were "on my God these people" "For God sake" "Fk man", "Look around for the cables and connect the tv". After I replied that I was not going to do so as the tv is screwed on the furniture, I don't want to damage anything and get charged later. She said "Dm" and slammed the front desk door and went up the stairs to the room. She was mumbling something I couldn't understand but that was not good at all. She moved around the furniture damaging the carpet, started looking for the problem and continued mumbling things. After a while she finally got the tv working and headed out of the room and continue walking even while I was talking to her. I reported to CustServ and was informed to ask for the manager. I did ask for him and nothing happened. I waited and waited for him or his reply and it never came. I waited an entire day for the manager and never happened. I asked for a manager for a second time and the same. Checkout came and I left the hotel disrespected, insulted and aggravated by the front desk lady and for no reason. Manager's behavior was an indication that they simply don't care. I had stayed at this property before 2010 and it was always such a great stay. Now after 2013 that I started to stay again, and is always a problem. I had stayed there about 3 times in the last 7 years and is always the same. It is the closest hotel for the location I needed to be so, I have not many options. The shuttle bus? A joke. It was apparently broken but then one day you see it, the next you don't. You see it parked outside and then you don't. In the end, I guess you get what you pay for. Let me remind you though, that this is not about paying for a 5-star hotel. Is more about respect and loyalty. I have been a Platinum member for years and I had never felt...
