Walking in to the establishment it does not look any different than it did when it was “Rustica” except for the cliche Irish flag decor randomly placed, atmosphere is still “relaxed” to the point of no one really knowing what is going on(it’s a please seat yourself spot) The night I regretfully visited, it was apparent that the waitress was very new to not only this place but to serving as well. That is forgivable. She was friendly but novice. The issue is the food. The Shepherds pie is not authentic. The owner even stated it is not put into the oven !! ! ! ! Shepherds pie came out with the “gravy” slopped on top of the potatoes, making it more of a goulash than an actual shepherds pie. My friend who had that dish also said it tasted like they poured a cup of sugar into the gravy. It was inedible, he actually did not eat it and that was a first I have ever seen. I ordered fish n chips. The fries as many pictures have been taken and have shown that they are nicely fried and crispy and seasoned ok. They are edible. The fish. NOT EDIBLE. I took ONE bite of the fish and I had to SPIT IT OUT because it tasted ROTTEN. I called the waitress over and I asked if the fish was frozen ? She leaves to go ask. Comes back says well they just got it yesterday and it’s frozen when they get it. This is shameful on so many levels. First off it tasted like nasty been frozen for very long time cheap grocery store Walmart fish. If you know you know. When the owner came over she claimed “there was nowhere local to source fresh Cod” and she got her fish from Port Townsend? I stated “it is a shame you cannot find fresh fish on an ISLAND” when we are surrounded by water and Seabolts serves fresh fish …Anthony’s serves fresh..Front Street Grill serves fresh …..but the owner was also very arrogant and rude and pretentious when coming out to see what the issue was. After stating the issues with the food she said “doesn’t seem like there is anything else I can do to fix this so I’ll pay for your dinner tonight “ I then said that I hope that our feedback would give her an opportunity to improve to which she replied “we haven’t had any complaints” that’s cuz it’s Washington lady!!! It’s passive aggressive here. Just like You. No one is going to say anything they just gonna fake smile and never come back. Sorry I’m from the East coast and I tell it like it is to the source ! I will NEVER go back I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT GOING THERE at all. Their poor attempt at rebranding from the overpriced and not authentic underflavored “Italian” Rustica,...

The only positive thing I have to say about this place is the atmosphere is nice. The waiter was decent at first but then service declined as our time there continued. We had ordered some soft drinks and were given the soda bottle and a glass to pour it ourselves (which I thought was weird but wasn’t a huge deal). By the time our food got out it had been about half an hour. The waiter dropped off our food without looking to see if we needed any silverware (which we didn’t have) and left. My wife ordered a salad and was given ranch dressing with molasses level consistency and lettuce that was old looking. I had ordered the shepherd’s pie which ended up being bland and leaving me with an upset stomach afterwards. Then when the bill came, our subtotal was $38, but then ended up being over $51 after their 20% automatic gratuity. I brought up to the waiter that their menu had said auto gratuity was only included with a party of 10 or more, and after seeming rather miffed he asked me if I didn’t want to tip. He then informed me that “the boss lady” said to charge it. I do not appreciate getting taken advantage of especially when traveling from out of town on a budget. I said I’d pay it I was just a little disappointed I wasn’t informed ahead of time. To sum up, we poured our own drinks, had to wait to ask for silverware to eat food that required it because the waiter already left before we could, and ate mediocre food. Then were charged an auto gratuity of 20%! Very inhospitable service especially for an establishment claiming to represent Irish culture....

I went with two friends to dine in. Our original waiter was so sweet and accommodating. He gave us recommendations. He told us he was putting in our dinner order with our appetizer but assured us the app would come out first. On the upside the fried pickles were delicious. However we were waiting quite a while for our food. About an hour had passed when a much shorter, older guy came over and took our appetizer plate, without asking. A few minutes later he came back and dismissively asked us if we needed anything else. When I said "Our food" he started huffing at us about how our server had to leave due to an emergency and he didn't tell him that we had food orders. I asked for clarification, "So our orders were never put in?". At that point he became extremely passive aggressive telling us over and over, "I'm sorry you're server had an emergency! I can put in your order it will only take 10 minutes". I then explained how I needed to ask everyone else if they still wanted to wait longer for food since we had been sitting there for an hour at that point. He got incredibly angry and told us he wasnt going to put in any orders for us and we could leave. So we still left hungry with a bitter taste in our mouth from the horrible customer services. Bummer, we were looking forward to the meal since the app...

I have been meaning to stop in Barrington’s Irish Pub for a couple months now. I finally did it and I regret not doing it earlier! I am fascinated with Irish food and really enjoy shepherds pie. Most places prepare it like a pot pie but replace the top crust with mashed potatoes. Barrington’s prepares it in a manner that Guy’s Grocery Games would refer to as a de-constructed shepherds pie. It’s served in a bowl with the mashed potatoes in the center, surrounded by a sea of the meat filling and two pieces of soda bread along the wall of the bowl. I enjoyed every bite and wished I was hungry enough to order another serving! However, that one serving was just as filling as it was tasty. Then I foolishly thought I had room for dessert! So I ordered the Soda Bread pudding. It is served very hot and it is very good. Unfortunately I ate only half of it because I was now uncomfortably full having been unable to stop eating! I thoroughly enjoyed my dining experience at Barrington’s with its Irish decor and the eclectic music playing at a light volume in the background. I look forward to returning soon.

The atmosphere was great. Happy hour prices were reasonable. I ordered a Huckleberry Fizz and Calamari to start for the table. The calamari was a bit overcooked (chewy), but sauces were flavorful. For dinner, I ordered the lamb & beef burger, which was good. My husband ordered the corned beef and cabbage. It was beyond tough, and when asked how it was, there was no offer to get him something else. It was left on the plate, and he ate everything else around it. We won't be going back.

Ordered an Irish American burger with "chips" which was quite delicious, especially with that HP sauce they had at each table, which was a wonderful delight on the palate. Ended the meal with an apple pastie with icecream. Very expensive, though a nice rustic atmosphere and excellent service. My only complaint is that it is not a bicycle friendly place with no place close to lock up a bike except for one street lamp out front.
