I first used perfect fit to bring in my bridesmaids dress and had a good experience so i felt comfortable enough to use them to hem my blazer. Unfortunately, the alterations on the blazer were done poorly. I only needed the sleeves shortened and gave them plenty of time to do so. I dropped off the blazer june 27th and told them no rush because i did not need it technically until July 13th (tomorrow). They gave me a date of July 7th so i was happy about that! They quoted me $75 dollars and i tipped $10 out of kindness. July 7th came around, no word. So i called them at 4:15pm that day to get an update. When I spoke to them they told me that they thought it wasn’t due til AUGUST 7th and they were “going” to call to confirm the date. Yet no call was made. The gentleman seemed concerned and offered to have it done by next day (July 8th) but i was trying to be kind and make him feel not rushed so he offered that Monday (July 11th). I call them as soon as i got off of work Monday (4:30pm) and it was still not done. And to be honest i don’t even think it was started. So they offered to have it ready by the next day and i expressed to them that it needed to be done ASAP because i needed the blazer for a huge interview in VIRGINIA. I fly out early Thursday morning (6am). When i arrived at 2:30pm today (July 12th) they were working on it still. Told me 20 more minutes. I try to stay humble in these types of things especially because of what i needed this garment for and because it was a $150 blazer. I picked it up at 3pm. I had a hair appt shortly after so i did not look at it prior to leaving. Which i know i should have. Also.. no one apologized for the delay or offered any type of refund for all the miscommunication. When i got home and observed the sleeves, i noticed that they were not even hemmed evenly.. so i looked on the inside of the sleeve and the stitching was done poorly and noticeably rushed. The buttons are sewed on poorly. And i was not given what they promised. Which was an identical look of what it looked like prior to the alterations. They simply folded it under and sewed it. I honestly could have just done this myself. When i put the coat on, the inside liner shows at the bottom of the sleeve. I’m really sad about this whole situation because of the fact that i trusted this business. I thought they would take one less stressor off of me prior to this interview. They definitely made me feel unappreciated...
Read moreThe owner, whom I have had great experiences with in the past, is currently not working at the store according to staff. Things have changed! I needed alterations for two pair of pants and was charged $125.00. I brought the pants in a week in advance and was asked if a Saturday pick up would be alright or would I need the pants sooner. I replied that Saturday was fine. On Saturday afternoon, at 12:30 I dropped by to pick up the pants. The young woman said that they were almost completed and that she would finish them after eating lunch. I said, Alright, I will drop by in about an hour. She said, ok, and that she would text me, as well. I dropped by an hour and a half later and the pants were still being worked on. By this time there were three young people inside. She then insisted that clothes are not finished until up to 4:30 pm. However, a small sign on the front door, she did not inform me of this policy. Another man stated the same, as though I was in the wrong for returning for my pants. She also said in a harsh tone, "I said that I would text you!" I later called to see if I could speak with the owner and she replied that she was in Seattle (and was very specific as to the issues). I said that I would return Monday. Having owned my own business for sixteen years I would definitely wish that those working for me were to treat a customer with a little more respect. The acting manager's response below is that a customer of 3 years should know our rules. Again, blaming the customer for not being aware of a "rule". If nobody tells me I am not aware of this "rule". I have not been a frequent customer. Finally, after taking my pants home, the measurement of alteration on length that I asked for was not fulfilled. The pants were altered for width but length was not 26 & 1/2 as I requested and are still too long. Rather than argue, I will take to "Dutch Maid Laundry" today...
Read moreEDIT: The store offered a partial refund for my issues and fixed the lining. I appreciate their cooperation in helping me with this issue! Please do business with them, I received nothing but compliments! Never taking my clothes back here. The service I experience WAS NOT worth the amount of money I spent for my business here. Had them do alterations on my suit for a party. Was told to give them a deadline on when I needed it, was informed it was “plenty of time” to get it done, called on THE DAY BEFORE the deadline to make sure it was good to go, and turns out they hadn’t even started on it (a week and a half later). As I tried the suit on, it fit perfectly as the name of the store suggests, however,
1.) my new suit was littered in dog fur because they keep a dog in the shop.
2.) there was a large portion of my jacket that was left unstitched in the inside lining.
It was a great alteration, they were very nice people..terrible first impression. I have to go get my suit stitched back up, but I don’t even want to take it back here because once I do, I’ll just have to pick it up covered in fur again 👎 Sorry Miguel, but I did not enjoy my experience.
