My family and I are on vacation here in Oak Island and the kids wanted pizza for dinner the second day here. We ordered almost $50 in food and the delivery service was excellent. However, one of the pizzas was burnt. We order the SAME pizza back home and it isn’t burnt, so I felt this was unacceptable. We tried to call the system to see if the pizza could be remade with all intentions of returning the other pizza, but the system kept hanging up on us. So, I drove to Dominos with the pizza and walked up to the cashier and asked if she could have our pizza remade? She proceeded to ask why? I opened the box and showed her the pizza, said it was burnt, and asked once more if they could just remake my pizza. She told the manager and his reply was “the pizza will turn out the same way because it is thin crust.” So, I asked if they could remake it with hand-tossed crust? I went and sat down and called my fiancé and talked to him for 22 minutes before I realized the employees were just letting me sit there and wait for nothing. So, I called my fiancé and asked him to come to dominos in the other vehicle. He was there in less than 5 minutes. He walked in, and they asked if they could help him? He said “I am just here to see if you are finished with the pizza she asked you to remake?” The manager said we told her we weren’t remaking it because it would come out the same way. He wasn’t professional. Another one of the employees picked up our pizza, took a piece, and broke it in half and said “is that burnt to you - are you kidding me?” So, we just asked for a refund of the one pizza that they refused to remake. I inquired when they would be, a nice young man said they were backed up, but working on it. No big deal, but what kind of time am I looking at? at ( I had 2 sick kids in the car, which was the reason I called it in and waited until the app said it was ready) The lady boxing the pizzas gave me a go to hell look and said to the young man.. they’ll be ready when I get to them. I wait outside another 20 mins, go in and ask again. The young man making the pizzas says, I’m sorry, I remember your order, so I’m sure they are in a stack back there somewhere. I go and ask and again, no Pizzas. I go get the kids, bring them in to wait… the angry ladies daughter and grandkids come in to visit… still waiting and no one can tell me how long. The phone rings.. nice pizza making guy answers, very apologetic to customer and then informs me that my pizzas were delivered to someone else’s house. In this whole thing… not one person actually checked to see where my order was, but angry lady kept giving me evil eye and yelling at the workers, no wonder they can’t keep anyone. I requested my money back because they would remake them, but I would go back in the queue, so no thank you. Ordered it at 7:39pm on June 28th, it said prepping they already took their money well we never got our pizza. Called the next day they said they had a technical problem the night before (June 28) I asked for a refund well never got a refund either just keep getting told the manager has to talk to the district manager and was told they would call me back never got a call back. So I kept calling and kept getting the same thing Patrick the manager will call you back when he's done delivering pizza bc they are short people.
