Me and my husband went to eat there last night for his birthday dinner. When we walked though the door the waitress looked at us and said were closed we are like are you serious your website said you close at 9:00 They said that's seasonal hours we drove from Bolivia to beat there I've never eaten there before I heard it was delicious I had my tonsils out Tuesday and can't really eat anything but popsicles and ice cream and jello. But I figured i can try to eat real food since barbeque is soft. But they said they were closed the cook told us he will make us are dinner the waitresses were turning down are service. The cook apologized for it and asked us what we wanted we weren't picky we asked what he had left over so we got Mac and cheese, collards, barbeque, and he gave use some hushpuppies. I asked him if I could get my drink from the soda machine and he said he would get it. He talked to us for a little bit and gave us are drinks got are order and in a few minutes gave is are food. While we were eating my husband was out of drink and I was about out of drink too. My husband was going to get some more drink and asked the waitress if it would spray him if he used it she said yes because we took the caps off it for the night remember i had my tonsils out Tuesday and I can't swallow like most people right now because it takes 2 weeks to heal and the 2nd week is the worst of it all to heal i thought it would be the 1st but nope it's the 2nd week. So anyway my husband asked if there was any way he could get any drink and the waitress said no I'm not putting the cap back on. That right there mad especially since I was trying to give him the last little bit of drink I had so he could have some drink knowing I would need it to help me swallow my food when I can't swallow it. SO HE WENT TO ARE CAR TO GET SOMETHING TO DRINK . While he was out there a guy comes in complaining about his portion size of his meal and the one waitress was being rude and an a** about it when he left. Then when we were getting my food in a box the waitress who we had a problem with all night started shutting off all the lights trying TO push us out of the restraunt. The only reason I would go back is because cook. He even asked how the food was and apologized about the drink situation and said if he knew he would of got us are refill. He gave us banana pudding for my...

My husband and I just dined inside at the North Myrtle Beach location of the Barbeque House and we have never been treated so badly and unfairly by the staff of a restaurant. We didn't receive our credit card back after giving it to the waiter for payment so I spoke to a staff member who stated his name was Aaron and said he was the manager. I asked him where my husband's credit card was and he said we had it returned with our receipts. I showed him the paper receipts I had in my hand with no credit card and at that same time, the waiter walked up to us and stated he had it in his apron pocket. Not only did the individual who said he was the manager tell us a lie but the waiter had put our credit card in his pocket and didn't return it to us with our receipts. I also asked for a to-go cup from a staff member whose name is Cassie R so that I could pour my leftover tea into it and she became very angry. She stated I should use a cup she had previously used and set down on the table. It had tea on the outside of the cup where she had poured from it earlier and had become sticky. She was outraged that I asked for a clean to-go cup and asked us to leave. We can't believe that customers such as ourselves would be treated with no professionalism, outright lies, and such poor customer service. My husband and I will be handling this further in the upcoming days and are deeply concerned for others who may want to dine at this location. We have been to this restaurant multiple times and our experience was ruined this evening by...

It will be a very long time before I return, and I have been a regular customer (at least during the summer months) since they opened. I've had two awful experiences in one week. On Sunday, I came for dinner, only to be informed that they, a BBQ restaurant, didn't have barbecue or ribs. Tonight, I tried again. I waited 5 minutes without any acknowledgement, as several tables were dirty but not being tended to. Finally, I pointed to a dirty table asked a waitress if it was available. She said it would be once it was cleaned, but she didn't bother to clean it or ask anyone else to. She walked by me, making eye contact several more times. Ten minutes later, the lady taking to-go orders asked what I needed. I told her I was told a table would be available when it was cleaned, and that I had been waiting. Then, another girl cleaned the table. My waitress took my drink order quickly after I was seated, but then disappeared for 7 minutes, even though I was ready to order (and had even put up the menu). My food came quickly and was good. The waitress did not return to my table to check on me for 25 minutes, until I had stacked up my trash on my plate. I had to ask her for a refill. I've never had such awful service here. And I have been a waitress myself, and know what decent service is--this is not even acceptable. Maybe consider hiring people who want to do their job, offer good and friendly service, and don't discourage guests from walking out or...

Nestled in the heart of Southeastern North Carolina, BBQ House stands as a beacon for barbecue enthusiasts. It’s not just the best BBQ in the region; it’s the best eating experience on Oak Island. The pork is smoked to a tender, flavorful perfection, and the sides are nothing short of spectacular. The fried okra is crispy and golden, the baked beans are rich and savory, and the hush puppies are the perfect blend of crispy and soft. But what truly sets BBQ House apart is its mastery of sauces. The Lexington sauce is a tangy delight, while the Eastern NC Sauce adds just the right amount of vinegary punch to complement the smoky meats. It’s a culinary craft that BBQ House has perfected, making it a must-visit destination. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, BBQ House is the place to go for an authentic taste of Southern barbecue. It’s the kind of place that turns first-time visitors into regulars and has rightfully earned its place as the best eating on Oak Island.

After the first time eating here we knew we had to come back! Since our local place in Shelby with the best ribs closed several years ago we had to find something as good and the other local places here just aren't as good but the BBQ house guys in Oak Isalnd have the best out of town ribs and BBQ sandwiches! ( they need to show our locals how to do it ) They also have a few extra different sauces you can add to your bbq as well on the table which is great cuz i love a more vinegar based sauce so it's nice to have options but the sauce they use on the ribs is super tasty as well. We have even started going down for new years the last few years and they were open on new years day which was great. The staff is always friendly and they make you feel at home. The restaurant itself has a small down home feel which I love. We will make sure to always keep one night open for BBQ when we go down for vacation! And the prices are good for the amount of food and for how good it is.

What a delightful BBQ experience! We arrived with a party of 6. The outdoor space had wonderful tables to wait. Once we went in, we were greeted by an attentive waiter. The pulled pork was delicious and tender with the spicy tangy sauce. They were out of Mac and cheese and brisket but the food did not disappoint. The 1/2 chicken was fragrant and juicy. The white coleslaw was refreshing. The wings were tender and flavorful ! The fried corn on the cob was my favorite side, with some salt, it was crispy and full of flavor. The hush puppies with honey butter were outrageous!! I ordered the key lime pie which was not too tart, creamy but sweet in a good way. I would recommend this restaurant to any BBQ lover, it did not disappoint!
