I went to the Dunkin Donuts store located in the West Suburban Medical center in Oak Park, IL the morning of April 7th, 2017. When I approached the counter there was no one in line & one worker standing at the counter in the back. She did nothing to acknowledge that I was there, after a few minutes of standing there I asked her if the store was open. I was not rude in the tone I asked. She did not respond. Then after another minutemI asked, "should I come back another time?". She snapped at me, saying "I'm the only one here right now". Without turning to look at me or make eye contact. After a few more minutes, after more customers arrived she did walk over and take my order. She then took the order of the customers after me & served them first before pouring the one coffee I ordered. When she poured my coffee she put it down on the counter again with no eye contact or thank you. Extremely rude & uncalled for- I was nothing but nice in my manner & she was so mean! I will never go to that location again & will avoid any Dunkin if this is the standard of service. I understand if you are busy prepping, but please use basic customer service skills to acknowledge the customer and let them know you will be over in a...
Read moreI stopped by this Dunkin' while visiting my sister at West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park. Even though we were just outside the city limits, you can't escape The Windy City! This location is super convenient for anyone visiting loved ones at the hospital.
The staff here are always friendly, even when dealing with crazy Chicago weather or traffic on nearby I-290. They have the coffee and breakfast sandwiches down perfectly. I got an iced coffee to combat the snow and wind that Chicago is known for this time of year. It did the trick to warm me up!
Nearby you'll find classic Oak Park homes and streets laid out in a grid like elsewhere in Chicagoland. After my visit, I took a stroll by Frank Lloyd Wright's Home and Studio, just a few blocks west. It's a great reminder of why Chicago is called The City in a Garden.
Whether you're a visitor or local, this Dunkin' is a spot to refuel. The prices are reasonable for hospital coffee and food. I give it 4 stars for location and quality - it won't let you down like the Cubs. Stay...
