I’m here to write another review after 9 years. It’s not about service per se but about quality. This one has nothing to do with the first one. We visited Giordano’s Oak Park Il location as usual. 1, they are under remodeling in the big area, which is nice. 2, They were cramping people in the front bar area, there was no room for more people but somehow they kept bringing people in. This isn’t the worst part, we ordered a sausage deep dish, it was honestly the most disgusting pizza we have ever gotten, the bottom crust was so thin, there was only cheese there. I ate one piece because that’s all I could handle. We brought the rest home. I wanted to eat some the next day, I could then see how badly thing the bottom crust was, the cheese was stuck on the cardboard box. It also melted in my oven and drip cheese all over, I have video and pics. I anyway tried to have a piece with nothing but cheese. I mentioned that to our waiter before we left the establishment, all he said is “I will tell the manager” which I don’t know if he did. I’m not sure if this is so they save money on their crust or what happened. Im super disappointed. I love Lou Malnatti’s pizza and Giordano’s because they are both different, I’m not sure that I will order here again. I feel I need to get my money back. I hope it’s a glitch otherwise I’m going to have to stick with Lou’s from now on. I would be afraid of ordering again, check it and just get aggravated if they don’t fix their quality, I really hope they do. __/
All I want to say is that the manager, I do not recall his name but he is a short bald guy with an accent. He definitely is not manager material. He doesn't know how to make repeating customers happy. He is a cheap man. I forgot to bring my coupon and he gave me a big thing about him not being able to discount it, even though he knows I'm a repeat customer. He said we was going to give me an extra coupon and he didn't. I do not trust him and will never trust him again. It also looks like the staff is afraid of him....
Read moreExcellent customer service (response) to a negative experience I had Feb 19, 2018 at the Giordano's Oak Park location. I have been going to Giordano's for over 20 years, specifically, for their deep dish sausage pizza. However, on Feb. 19, I did not order a pizza. Instead, I had a Harvest salad for lunch as I wasn't in the mood for a heavy deep-dish pizza. Unfortunately, the salad was not fresh, the greens were covered in brown (old lettuce and other greens). Sadly, the salad was missing some of the ingredients. Other parts of the greens were covered in a clear slime, which was difficult to see with the naked eye. I took my index finger and thumb and felt the slime on the greens. This was after I took 2 bites. I couldn't eat the salad. It was obvious to me the salad was not fresh or made from quality ingredients. I went to the Giordano's website and completed a "Feedback" form. Three days after completing the on-line form, I received an email with a $20 gift card to "go back" again. I appreciated that Giordano's wants to make it right. It was obvious that Giordano's is in the business of maintaining/keeping long-time loyal customers. We plan to go back again. This time we will order a pizza. We have never had a negative (bad) experience at any Giordano's so I am still planning to eat at their other restaurants. Giordano's cares about your feedback (experience). This restaurant does NOT have a parking lot, so it is a bit challenging to find street parking. I rate Giordano's with 4 stars, because their pizza is really, really delicious and I have never had a BAD pizza here. The crust is always delicious as is the cheese and sausage (quality ingredients are used in the...
Read moreSo I'm in from Chicago, but haven't been home in awhile. So my first stop is Giordano's near where I'm staying. I park in a sketchy parking space but being from out of town and not really knowing this part of town I ask the associate behind the counter (she kind of reminded me of a girl version of elijah wood with her short hair cut) is it OK if I park here and point out my vehicle....she says yes that shouldn't be a problem. After paying for my food and being told that it would be 35-45 min before it's ready, I took a walk around to see what was in the neighborhood. Only to return in the alloted 45 min to pick up my food to find that it wasn't ready no big deal. The big deal came when I got ready to leave and was approached by a hostile Italian man (in nice shoe's shouting as only a Italian man can) saying "I was gonna have your car towed I've been looking for owner of car for 2 hours I call tow truck already". I'm like confused.....what??? 2 hours..I've only been here for 45 min...maybe a little longer because it was not ready when I returned..smh! Good....food lying staff...So disappointed I'll stick to the one on...
