2/8/19 Ah again, I got the beef shawarma plate with the small tabouleh salad asked for no hummus. As always I made a point to order no hummus and express that to the cashier. So after I got the order and I went to my car what was right on top of my order in a flimsy plastic container? hummus. SMH
8/26/18 Had the Chicken shawarma entree which although seemed like it was 25% less than what I remember the entree platters were before. However when I asked for no hummus I got exactly what I wanted without any issues. The customer service has gotten a lot better since I was here last. The Tabouleh salad is probably the best I have had in the area. Add some fires and pita bread and you have an excellent meal from an excellent restaurant.
Parking even at night is an issue. Got the chicken shawarma plate with the small tabouleh salad asked for no hummus the cashier was like "oh we can put it to the side" I told her again: "No hummus none at all."
So I paid and I notice she did not say anything to the chef staff behind the counter, for no hummus. After a couple of minutes, I got back up and inquired with another cashier if my order had "no hummus".She stated she would make sure and wanted to know what my order was I told her "the chicken shawarma plates with the small tabouleh salad"
She found the order ticket and told the Chef staff directly "NO hummus" and they looked at the tickets in front of them like it was the first time they heard of this request. Yes, it came without hummus FINALLY but the lack of responsibility to do get the order right when I told the first cashier, TWICE, ticked me off.
This is why this location got the low rating, if I did not ask the other cashier for "NO hummus" in my order you know what I would have got? Hummus. Nothing pisses me off more and stops me from frequenting a business especially restaurants when they have employees who do not care to get your order right as if I am inconveniencing them by...
Read moreI've eaten here several times in the past and thought the food was pretty good. The signs all over the restaurant advertise "All You Can Eat Lunch Buffet." Today I decided to try it out, and what a disappointment!
I went in at 12:30 p.m. and paid $9.80 for a lunch buffet "with chicken." I took some appetizer/salad food from that serving area. When I went to the serving area for entrees, I was shocked to see the trays were empty, except for one with a little yellow rice. I pointed out the empty trays to the woman who had just sold me the lunch. She said, "If you're hungry, eat some rice." Gee, thanks! Then she said she was cooking more chicken and would bring it out. OK.
I sat down and ate my appetizers, noticing other patrons lining up at the entree serving area. When I got up there, though, once again I'm looking at a lot of empty trays. I called out to the same woman, saying, "Once again, there is no food here." She sneered at me and shouted angrily, "I just put out chicken!" I said, "You don't have enough food to feed your own customers," and left the place.
I paid $9.80 for an "all you can eat buffet" and left the place still hungry. If all you can eat is a few spoonfuls of rice, you will get all you can eat in there. If you want anything else, though, you have to go somewhere...
Read moreUmm OKAY WOW, you need to eat here. Middle Eastern food is my absolute favorite food, and I’ve tried a lot of different places in this area. Jerusalem Cafe is BY FAR the best and I won’t be going anywhere else from now on (unless Jerusalem Cafe is closed). Their baklava? Amazing. JUST the right amount of sogginess and JUST the right amount of crunch. The falafel sandwich? Incredible. The falafel was so perfect and the sandwich was simple yet very flavorful and moist. And the GRAPE LEAVES. I can’t talk about the grape leaves enough. That’s my all-time favorite food and nobody makes it better than Jerusalem Cafe. The price is great (6 for $4), the lemon juice isn’t too overpowering, and the stuffing is kinda creamy which makes it soooo good. The rice to leaf ratio is 👌🏼 I’ll be eating there again tonight (I ate there 2 days ago) and probably at least every week for as long as...
