My husband and I enjoy Korean food and decided to try the So gong dong tofu and BBQ. They just had their grand opening from a remodel. They have lunch and dinner specials. It's a full service restaurant and a waiter comes to your table for your order and it's delivered to your table. I ordered the beef bulgogi bento. My husband ordered the squid hot stone bibimbap. Traditional sides of kimchi, corn, spicy pickled cucumbers, fish cake, and radishes accompanied the meal. I especially liked the fish cake and spicy cumbers and my husband liked the kimchi and corn. Our meal came and his stone bowl was really hot. He said he enjoyed, however if you don't like crunchy rice it's not for you. The bottom of the rice gets crunchy towards the bottom. My bento box came with rice, glass noodles, spring roll, dumplings, salad, and thin slices of beef. It was really tasty. It was nice to have a variety. Each meal came with a bowl of soup on the side. You can get refills on the accompaniments. I couldn't eat everything as I had seconds on the cucumbers and fish cake! It was a good value, everything was fresh. I would go back again. Service was excellent and the food was delivered as soon as it was ready. I appreciate that as it wasn't sitting in a warming table. I would recommend this place for a...
Read moreFlavorless chewy meat tastes like it was frozen!! YUCK there is no way that meat is fresh! And even worse all those appetizers can be found in Costco's frozen food section, I've bought them there before, and you charge 10 bucks for the same frozen Costco dumplings?! Way overpriced for that quality, I'll save my money by getting it straight from Costco the first time around! Entire trip was a huge disappointment and waste of money! How can you be authentic when you sell already made dumpling spring roll and tempura shrimp from Costco! Is it too hard to make those fresh in store? Or are you too cheap to give good food to customers? And don't act like you don't, I made sure on Costco website, search the items up, identical food you sell is there! I come here for new flavor and find the same stuff I get grocery shopping?! Really!? Huge disappointment, I will never return to this location. I never leave reviews because I could care less but this restaurant is a real disappointment, I should've gone to noodles and company or lou malnatis for lunch, at least I could have gotten something fresh and...
Read moreVery pleasantly surprised with my experience here. I only had a short time for my lunch break and rushed to get some food, unfortunately the restaurant was pretty busy and there was a group of people ahead of me. Seeing the line ahead of me, I knew I wouldn't be able to get the hot stone bibimbap or the soondubu because I was scared I wouldn't have enough time to eat there so I opted for the regular bibimbap to go so I could make it back before my lunch break ended. To my surprise, I didn't wait long for my food and was approached and handed my to go package neatly organized without a number prompting me to come pick it up - I felt special. I went to my car and was astounded with the packaging. I thought all of the beef and vegetables would be on top of the rice in 1 container but the container had a upper portion that housed all the toppings and the bottom portion houses the rice, beef and egg! The food was great and fresh. I definitely enjoyed my experience besides rushing due to...
