Flipside Burgers, Fries and Shakes — Restaurant in Oakland

When we came in for lunch at 12:25pm today I was wondering why there wasn't any customers. I'm mean ZERO!

Aslo no one at the register to take our order. Only person we saw was the cook. We thought he was going to take our order but he said no, he needed to get his boss. Ok, fine.

The cook yells 2 times & rings a bell to get his bosses attention.

Moments later a guy with black circles around his eyes & a really BAD attitude, wearing a gray ball cap with a black adidas logo on it slowly came to take our order.

This guy is either the owner or a relative of the owner.

We really wasnt hungry after that rude & unprofessional experience.

If they had a better owner & staff, theyd probably do more business.

If you are interested in old school burgers where you can still order medium rare, and the burgers actually come medium rare, this the place. The burgers are huge and of high quality beef. The price includes fries, but I like the fact that with a very small upcharge I was able to sub 1/2 sweet potato fries and half onion rings, also very good and made to order. Finally, their milkshakes are great. I took one star off for atmosphere, but that’s because there was a basekball game going on and was a bit loud; however the other patrons were watching the game so I can’t really fault them. Great burgers and shakes. Their healthy options such as turkey burger is very tasty also. They have many different varieties of burgers. You can get it with fries or salad.

Inside is quite small but I'd say enough to seat 15-20 people. There are about 4 two tops and 4 two tops along the wall.

Very friendly employees. Last time I visited, a male employee gave me 2 free sodas. (Thanks!)

Street parking is not easy around there especially on the weekends so it's not a bad idea to order by phone, double park and pick up or park far, walk and window shop, eat and walk back as there are many cute little stores...
