Crazy Block Cheesecakes — Restaurant in Oakland

Tried this restaurant for the the first time, and it was great! The guy at the front was friendly and enthusiastic. The interior was clean and well decorated. I got a few different food items to sample. Very fair serving size, especially for the price and quality. Brisket- 9/10, perfectly prepared, right amount of fattiness, tender, moist and nice smoke flavor. Collard greens- 9.5/10. Cooked just the way I like them, cooked through but not mushy, good salt and vinegar flavor. Mac and Cheese- 10/10. My favorite! Usually I steer clear of Mac and cheese at a restaurant because there are so many weird variations. This was really good-- cheesy deliciousness! Latke- 7/10. Crispy and fresh, just not to my personal taste. Liked the applesauce it came with though. Cheesecake- 8.5/10. They had a number of flavors, so I got the sample pack. The mango was my favorite. The texture of the cheesecake was smooth and a bit fluffy, not overly sweet, but sweet enough. Very nice. The crust was graham cracker with a lot of butter in it so that the crust was super crispy. I don't like a soggy crust, but the bottom was a little too crisp for my ideal. But still very delicious, you should definitely try because I can imagine it's exactly to many ppl's taste.

Overall, a very satisfying experience, will definitely be back for that brisket plate with the sides, and to try some of the other...

If you’re into barbecue or just amazing food in general, Crazy Block BBQ needs to be on your list. From the moment you walk in, the vibe is warm, vibrant, and full of character—just like the owner, whose personality is as fun and unforgettable as the food. And wow, the food.

Every single meat we tried was outstanding. The Dino bone is something truly special—massive, flavorful, and unlike anything you’ll find elsewhere. The brisket was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the lamb, salmon, and chicken were all packed with smoky, delicious flavor. There’s so much variety, it’s impossible to pick a favorite. We need to go back to try everything else on the menu!

The sides were just as impressive. The mac & cheese was creamy and rich, the collard greens had amazing depth, and the fries were crispy and perfectly seasoned. No weak links here.

We finished with 2 different cheesecakes, and it was the perfect ending—light, creamy, and just sweet enough to round out the meal.

The owner of this business is very friendly,welcoming and always smiling that He can make the business interaction as friendly and as positive.

The cheesecake flavors changes as the owners announces/post it through their instagram page a couple of days prior.

All these cheesecakes (personal size) has a delicious home made recipe by the owner’s grandma so it is indeed an original recipe.

Buttery-creamy,crispy ,sweet crust perfect for any cheesecake flavors.

The cooking,baking technique is amazing as the owner himself do his own research with ingredients,flavors and texture to bring out the best of the best.

The packaging is neat,organized and super cute
