Heavenly Chicken, Sausage, and Egg Breakfast! Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5 stars) Review: My recent visit to “Louis the Pie Queen” in Oakland, California left me absolutely impressed, especially with their chicken, sausage, and egg breakfast! It was a breakfast delight that I won’t soon forget. The combination of flavors in this breakfast dish was simply heavenly. The scrambled eggs were perfectly cooked and fluffy, while the chicken and sausage brought a delectable savory taste that complemented the dish perfectly. I appreciated the generous portion size, leaving me feeling satisfied and energized for the day ahead. The quality of the ingredients was evident, and each bite was packed with deliciousness. Beyond the food, the atmosphere at “Louis the Pie Queen” was charming and cozy, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. The staff was attentive and friendly, ensuring that my breakfast experience was delightful from the moment I walked in. For anyone looking for a mouthwatering breakfast in Oakland, I highly recommend trying the chicken, sausage, and egg breakfast at “Louis the Pie Queen.” You won’t be disappointed! I can’t wait to return and explore more of their menu offerings. Kudos to “Louis the Pie Queen” for serving such scrumptious breakfast dishes. This place has truly earned its title as a breakfast gem in the heart of Oakland!

Southern Hospitality in the Bay Area. Family owned and operated with a community support feel...and bomb diggity fried chicken! As my children and I walked towards the restaurant we could smell the aroma of fried chicken. The house was packed and we were greeted warmly by third generation family operator- Corey who was exceptionally friendly to us and others who were dining. We ordered the two piece chicken plate- the flavor and crispness of the skin was amazing. Mouth watering, tender and not overly greasy. Wish we had room to try the pies-next time. We dined around 1:30-2pm on a Saturday. I can imagine a line wrapped around the door during Sunday when they offer other delicious eats like smothered chicken. Make a trip- you won't be disappointed!

The bad. The place looks extremely dirty and outdated. Black dust on the fans and does not appear to have AC, so it's a little warm inside. Sight directly into the kitchen is unappealing for any guest that has that line of sight. The decore was not pleasant. Radio was just a little too loud. Be sure to bring cash, as this establishment does not accept card payments and di not have an ATM. However, they will accept Cashapp or VENMO. Food was just ok. I tried their homemade biscuits but could not finish even one because they were too hard. Water tastes like tap water with ice. Not sure if everything was worth the price, but it's not too bad. The good. The staff was nice, the food was hot, and I did not have to wait long.

I've been wanting to try this place and for the 1st time will definitely be my last! Upon walk-in we weren't greeted or seated, even though the sign says "wait to be seared". We got nasty unwelcoming looks from the chef & customers, as if we weren't supposed to be there? The waitress did not wear a smile & didn't seem to be happy about being there. As we sat in awe, my friend was tracing their memory as to why they had never came back to this place after visiting some time before. The vibe in this place was trash and so was the customer service! We weren't spoken to in a polite manner from the waitress or the busser who also didn't seem to want to be there on his job or answer our questions. Everyone wore a sad or mad face which was completely uncomfortable to witness...

The waitress with the dreads was handling dirty money & never once washed her hands before handling plates with customers food. Yuck!! The menus were sticky and the service was dry. The food was just OK, nothing to talk about and my friend couldn't even tell what type of sausage they were consuming because it had no flavor.

We definitely won't be returning and surely would not recommend to anyone! Maybe this is a neighborhood staple for those who reside there though by seeing all the different pictures inside shows many different people from all walks of life that has visited there in the past, but for us we were treated in the most unwelcoming manner and left to feel like, to never return again! And believe me, we won't!! 💯 Our hard earned dollars will be spent where we're appreciated and treated with warm welcomes like...

Very disappointed because we had several people tell us about how wonderful this place is so I brought my family to come try. My mother has a service animal that she has to bring with her everywhere and the second we walked in the door they told her she couldn’t have her dog. I would understand if it was a regular dog, but when we explained that the dog is a certified service animal and yet we were still kicked out. It’s very unfortunate because my mother has to have her dog with her at all times and all we wanted to do was try this place we heard such great things about. We decided not to argue given that this place is a small business and we didn’t want to cause a scene or disturb anyone else in the store so we just left. As we left we met the owner outside. He asked if we couldn’t just leave my mothers dog in the car while we eat, which to that we then again explained that no, she has to have her dog with her AND it’s the middle of August… It’s simply too hot to leave your animal in the car. To say we are disappointed is an understatement but we did not wish to cause any trouble so I guess we’ll just never get to try. :( EDIT: I would like to add that no one was rude to us during this interaction and the owner also seemed very nice, so i’m not leaving this review to deter people away from this place of business. I am only writing this review to maybe give a warning to anyone else with service animals that you should maybe avoid trying to come here because of my experience with not allowing dogs...

We recently came here on a Monday and enjoyed our time (& the food) so much, that we decided to try again for Mother’s Day with our son. The service we received today was HORRIBLE. When we walked in, we waited at the door to be seated; 4 servers passed us without even saying a word until finally one of the bussers came and asked how many. after 2 minutes of looking around, he said we could sit at the 3 top with our child. As soon as we got our son seated, the lady with the braids starts angrily telling us we couldn’t sit there because it was reserved for another party (despite nobody else standing around or sitting at the bar). There were no other open tables so we were forced to sit at the bar despite it being too far away for our 3 year old to comfortably eat. We waited over 10 minutes for someone to even say our server would be with us nor did they even acknowledge that we were just sitting there waiting. The bussers were huddled in a corner laughing and pointing at our family & the servers didn’t speak to us except the young one. Our son kept asking “may I have juice please” because nobody even asked if we’d like something to drink in the time we sat there. It was just an overall humiliating experience to the point we left. Nobody should feel unwelcomed, especially on Mother’s Day. it’s tainted the once positive view we had of this place.

When we called and asked to speak about it, instantly hung up on by what I assume is the same...
