Heavenly Chicken, Sausage, and Egg Breakfast! Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5 stars) Review: My recent visit to “Louis the Pie Queen” in Oakland, California left me absolutely impressed, especially with their chicken, sausage, and egg breakfast! It was a breakfast delight that I won’t soon forget. The combination of flavors in this breakfast dish was simply heavenly. The scrambled eggs were perfectly cooked and fluffy, while the chicken and sausage brought a delectable savory taste that complemented the dish perfectly. I appreciated the generous portion size, leaving me feeling satisfied and energized for the day ahead. The quality of the ingredients was evident, and each bite was packed with deliciousness. Beyond the food, the atmosphere at “Louis the Pie Queen” was charming and cozy, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. The staff was attentive and friendly, ensuring that my breakfast experience was delightful from the moment I walked in. For anyone looking for a mouthwatering breakfast in Oakland, I highly recommend trying the chicken, sausage, and egg breakfast at “Louis the Pie Queen.” You won’t be disappointed! I can’t wait to return and explore more of their menu offerings. Kudos to “Louis the Pie Queen” for serving such scrumptious breakfast dishes. Southern Hospitality in the Bay Area. Family owned and operated with a community support feel...and bomb diggity fried chicken! As my children and I walked towards the restaurant we could smell the aroma of fried chicken. The house was packed and we were greeted warmly by third generation family operator- Corey who was exceptionally friendly to us and others who were dining. We ordered the two piece chicken plate- the flavor and crispness of the skin was amazing. Mouth watering, tender and not overly greasy. Wish we had room to try the pies-next time. We dined around 1:30-2pm on a Saturday. I can imagine a line wrapped around the door during Sunday when they offer other delicious eats like smothered chicken. Make a trip- you won't be disappointed!

The bad. The place looks extremely dirty and outdated. Black dust on the fans and does not appear to have AC, so it's a little warm inside. Sight directly into the kitchen is unappealing for any guest that has that line of sight. The decore was not pleasant. Radio was just a little too loud. Be sure to bring cash, as this establishment does not accept card payments and di not have an ATM. However, they will accept Cashapp or VENMO. Food was just ok. I tried their homemade biscuits but could not finish even one because they were too hard. Water tastes like tap water with ice. Not sure if everything was worth the price, but it's not too bad. The good. The staff was nice, the food was hot, and I did not have to wait long.

*Review only based upon desserts Pies: 3/5 Service: 3/5 Ambiance: 3.5/5 Overall: I'd come back to try the main menu. The extended review: Pies: Lemon Icebox Pie - 3/5 - So I remember having this a long time ago and it might be that I had a icebox cake here instead of the pie but I can't quite remember. When I had a slice of this pie it was refreshing and tangy for sure but not what I remember i being eons ago. Raspberry Keylime Pie - 3/5 - Also another tangy pie. Texture of the filling was good I'd say. Flavor was pretty standard fare. Service: 3/5 - Standard service. Ambiance: 3.5/5 - It has a homelike feeling to it. Seating isn't too ample and when we went there were people waiting in line.

Okay.... breakfast? Absolutely the place to eat in Oakland. The fried chicken waffle plate was a kick. Add the fried pork chops to it.. or should I say poke chops.... ummmmm ..... oh wait... and add the hot sauce to pork chop: heaven. Your mama is up for a challenge. I ain't kidding. I had two breakfast plates... chicken and pork chops. Yes I did. And I did not take anything home. Oh snap wait... I forget about the salmon croquettes.... lord have mercy.... you've got to try it. I must say: it's not the cheapest place but it's very worth it... This is a "Must eat at" if you're visiting. Its like a waffle house to Georgia. You can't visit Oakland and not make a stop at lois... that'll be so wrong...

This is a fun place to go for breakfast, but be warned that it's packed on Saturday morning. You should also make sure you carry cash as they only accept cash! My Shrimp & Grits was $15.95, tho it was absolutely worth every penny! It came with 2 biscuits and I took some home, so portions were good size. It was so cool looking at the walls of pics of all the famous people that have eaten there. The service was friendly tho our server was a little slow getting to us, but we thoroughly enjoyed it and each took home a slice of pie. I have been searching for Lemon Icebox pie for years and it was tasty. I am excited about returning to this restaurant with more friends.
