I've been wanting to try this place and for the 1st time will definitely be my last! Upon walk-in we weren't greeted or seated, even though the sign says "wait to be seared". We got nasty unwelcoming looks from the chef & customers, as if we weren't supposed to be there? The waitress did not wear a smile & didn't seem to be happy about being there. As we sat in awe, my friend was tracing their memory as to why they had never came back to this place after visiting some time before. The vibe in this place was trash and so was the customer service! We weren't spoken to in a polite manner from the waitress or the busser who also didn't seem to want to be there on his job or answer our questions. Everyone wore a sad or mad face which was completely uncomfortable to witness...
The waitress with the dreads was handling dirty money & never once washed her hands before handling plates with customers food. Yuck!! The menus were sticky and the service was dry. The food was just OK, nothing to talk about and my friend couldn't even tell what type of sausage they were consuming because it had no flavor.
We definitely won't be returning and surely would not recommend to anyone! Maybe this is a neighborhood staple for those who reside there though by seeing all the different pictures inside shows many different people from all walks of life that has visited there in the past, but for us we were treated in the most unwelcoming manner and left to feel like, to never return again! And believe me, we won't!! đŻ Our hard earned dollars will be spent where we're appreciated and treated with warm welcomes like...
Read moreVery disappointed because we had several people tell us about how wonderful this place is so I brought my family to come try. My mother has a service animal that she has to bring with her everywhere and the second we walked in the door they told her she couldnât have her dog. I would understand if it was a regular dog, but when we explained that the dog is a certified service animal and yet we were still kicked out. Itâs very unfortunate because my mother has to have her dog with her at all times and all we wanted to do was try this place we heard such great things about. We decided not to argue given that this place is a small business and we didnât want to cause a scene or disturb anyone else in the store so we just left. As we left we met the owner outside. He asked if we couldnât just leave my mothers dog in the car while we eat, which to that we then again explained that no, she has to have her dog with her AND itâs the middle of August⌠Itâs simply too hot to leave your animal in the car. To say we are disappointed is an understatement but we did not wish to cause any trouble so I guess weâll just never get to try. :( EDIT: I would like to add that no one was rude to us during this interaction and the owner also seemed very nice, so iâm not leaving this review to deter people away from this place of business. I am only writing this review to maybe give a warning to anyone else with service animals that you should maybe avoid trying to come here because of my experience with not allowing dogs...
Read moreWe recently came here on a Monday and enjoyed our time (& the food) so much, that we decided to try again for Motherâs Day with our son. The service we received today was HORRIBLE. When we walked in, we waited at the door to be seated; 4 servers passed us without even saying a word until finally one of the bussers came and asked how many. after 2 minutes of looking around, he said we could sit at the 3 top with our child. As soon as we got our son seated, the lady with the braids starts angrily telling us we couldnât sit there because it was reserved for another party (despite nobody else standing around or sitting at the bar). There were no other open tables so we were forced to sit at the bar despite it being too far away for our 3 year old to comfortably eat. We waited over 10 minutes for someone to even say our server would be with us nor did they even acknowledge that we were just sitting there waiting. The bussers were huddled in a corner laughing and pointing at our family & the servers didnât speak to us except the young one. Our son kept asking âmay I have juice pleaseâ because nobody even asked if weâd like something to drink in the time we sat there. It was just an overall humiliating experience to the point we left. Nobody should feel unwelcomed, especially on Motherâs Day. itâs tainted the once positive view we had of this place.
When we called and asked to speak about it, instantly hung up on by what I assume is the same...
