Merritt House Cocktail Bar — Restaurant in Oakland

I visited with my dad to have a cup of coffee and a breakfast sandwich.I myself ordered a chai latte which was one of the best chai lattes I've ever had.The young woman who made it had great vibes,initially I walked in & it was so cold inside I literally wanted to turn and run out but my father wanted to stay and enjoy his coffee and sandwich.I will reiterate the chai latte was amazing however the Arctic freeze inside was nearly unbearable! The chai latte was delicious the customer service was pleasant but it is disheartening there wasn't any consideration for the winter temperature inside and out. How is the business "welcoming" customers to sit and enjoy if it's freezing inside......very interesting! Sincerely,...

Found out via Rise & Grind coffee (another great spot). But this new spot is roomy with excellent selection of drinks, in it’s opening. I recommend the Paloma & the Saturn, for those interested in sweeter cocktails. Bartender was super friendly & welcoming. ❤️🔥

Merritt Bakery used to be here a long time ago. In the current space, they're still trying to figure out how to integrate the Rise & Grind coffee concept with the hot wings concept.
