Steak and shrimp cheese fries is my go-to and exactly what it sounds like: steak fries smothered in cheese, topped with thinly sliced beef, grilled black tiger shrimp, topped with sour cream and jalapeños (they’ll ask if you want to add it, and you definitely do).

Call ahead for pickup as the space is small and there’s not really seating — a few tables usually with folks waiting for food. You might need to call a couple of times as they are always busy and may not pickup the phone.

Great stop from Lake Merritt (one block away).

Can’t eat here too much now (health reasons, perhaps ironically), but service was fast, the food consistently good, with friendly staff who seem to work...

The best french fries I've ever had. Hands down. Steak cut, crispy on the outside, creamy inside. I don't know what sort of magic they practice, but their fries are better than the ones at dedicated french fry places I've tried.

The steak, cheese and shrimp (over fries) is a winner. If, like me, you hate nacho cheese sauce, you can leave it off and have just the white cheddar. Healthy it is not, but it certainly is tasty!

I almost gave 4 stars, b/c I've tried a couple of their non-fry options and I can't say I was impressed. Service is friendly enough, but they open bizarrely late for a place serving typical lunch fare. Still, fries this good deserve the full 5. It's junk food...

We stopped in got some Fish & Chips (cat fish) and Onion rings and soda. As a very picky Aussie who loves good Fish & Chips most stores here in the US I’d score at a 6/10 but this little hole in the wall shop it’s easy an 8/10 the chips where good size the fish was average size for all the US stores I’ve tried but this little store the batter was crispy and the fish cooked perfectly the onion rings where good the Chips where very good but I feel a few extra minutes in the oil would have made them a perfect Crispy outer and...
