Though this has been our go-to place for years (cheap food as good as the next fast-food place AND watching trains go by), our last experience was horrid. My husband paid in cash in the dining room and should have received $10 in change. Nope - the cashier claimed he gave her exact change. When he stood his ground (and folks waiting behind us stood up for him because they witnessed what he'd given her) we were forced to wait for nearly 15 minutes while they closed out the drawer to count it. Meanwhile, no one was at the counter to take orders, leaving other customers to wait as well. Finally the drive-through attendant had the wherewithal to take counter orders. 15 minutes later the manager comes out with our change because, well, my husband doesn't lie. But - there was no apology, no offer for a complimentary meal or dessert on the house. And, to top it all off, they finally gave us our order which was now cold because it had been sitting nearly this entire time. I get it - there are thieves out there who lie and claim they gave more money than they did in hopes they can get change back. But - train your cashiers to leave out the money received until change is given back to the customer! We've had a bad meal here on occasion over the years, but nothing so bad it kept us from coming back. This one experience takes the prize, it's going to be awhile...
Read moreDo not use the mobile app at this location!!!!! Have always had issues ordering with the mobile app here, which is a shame because they have great coupons. Well the other night was the final straw. After placing my mobile order at around 1:30 AM, I got to the restaurant to find out they were closed. So why did you accept my order when half the time you guys won’t accept it when you’re OPEN. So I thought no big deal, I’ll get the meal I paid for the next night (this is not the first time this has happened unfortunately so I’m used to the situation). However I went back the next four nights to find out they were closed every night. Well tonight I go through and ask about my order, and they say they have no record of it, so I have to go through the hassle of calling corporate just for a $9 refund. Done with these guys I’ll just drive to Brentwood or Antioch from now on, even though this location is literally a two minute walk from my house....
Read moreGenerally I like Jack in the Box, however the store in Oakley has the most uneducated cashiers. Example, stopped into the Oakley store for a cup of coffee today, first, no coffee on the jug, no big deal probably had a busy mornong, then asked for a lid for the cup and was met by a blank stare, about 5 seconds later was told lids were by the drink dispenser, okay, went looking for them, only lids were for cold drinks, went back to the counter looking for hot drink lid, asked for a lid again, was met by the same blank stare, this time for more than 10 seconds, cashier FINALLY got what I was asking for, turned around and gave me the correct lid and I walked out. This is not the only time I was met by a confused cashier at this particular Jack in the Box and will now be the last time. I will not be visiting the Jack in the Box in...
