Please be careful when you come here. My wife, daughter, and I came in at 8:30pm to get some pudding. They close at 9pm. We make our order for some nachos and egg rolls. This should cost $22 total. $10 for the egg rolls and $12 for the nachos, this is very important. The lady goes to turn on the fryer because she shut it down, I guess thinking no other customers would be coming in the last 30mins, I get it. She gets done making the egg rolls and the āchipsā part of the nachos. She says sheās going to give us a cup of banana pudding āfree of chargeā so we can put that on top of the chips because something about not wanting to drizzle the pudding on the nachos. Wasnāt totally sure, but we agreed because we thought weāre still getting the pudding for our nachos. Now comes the ringing up. The lady charges us $32 and says that sheāll round it down to $30. Now, we were preoccupied with our daughter when the lady bagged everything. I thought she had given us another pudding cup. You know what, thatās fine, my wife and I each would have a cup each to dip our nacho chips in, so I thought. We got home and come to find out that she didnāt give us 2 pudding cups, she only gave us one. So now we spent $30 for eggrolls ($10), unfinished nachos ($12), and a pudding cup that was supposed to finish the nachos āfree of charge.ā Even if you chalk it up to that we paid for everything we got, we really didnāt because those nachos were not finished at all. They had no pudding and drizzle like they had before.
To me, this feels like we got cheated and bamboozled and I donāt like that at all. Iām fair about the food in general because we have been there a few other times, but getting cheated like this really drops my score for them. Donāt be laxed like my wife and I were, make sure youāre done right. Otherwise, the food is good...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI decided to try The Puddin Palace after hearing good things from several South Jersey locals. The menu offers a wide variety of pudding flavors/combos in offered. Like many dessert spots, there tends to be less flavor availability later in the day as more product sells out. However, the employees are happy to make a fresh version of any sold out flavor as long as the ingredients are on hand.
My first visit was around Thanksgiving time after seeing seasonal availability of Sweet Potato Cheesecake. After stopping by to get some, I was a bit bummed that they were only making bulk orders of whole cheesecakes for customers to order ahead. I wish the website had made that information clear. I still picked up a few pudding cups to take home.
Since my first visit, Iāve stopped by a few more times. Iāve been satisfied with quality and freshness of ingredients every trip. My favorite pudding cups are the Oreo, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and Banana Chessman flavors.
The Oreo Puddin stands out from similar types Iāve had elsewhere. The components go perfectly together making it decadent without being overly heavy. The brownie layer always tastes fresh and maintains the perfect texture. The Cinnamon Toast Crunch has the perfect ratio of cereal to pudding creating a perfectly balanced flavor. The caramel sauce also adds a great touch. I enjoy the addition of Chessman cookies in the classic Banana Puddin. They maintain their texture without getting as soggy as vanilla wafers by themselves.
Overall, Iāve enjoyed what Iāve tried at The Puddin Palace. I do think $10 price per cup is a bit pricey, even for a small business. Itās not somewhere I go very regularly, but I think The Puddin Palace has unique offerings compared to other dessert spots in the South...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIma keep it a hunnitšÆ, the employees are friendly but I believe the customer service skills need a lil bit more work. While I was trying to figure out what flavors I wanted because it was my first time there and trying them out period so it took me a little while to look at everything, but I felt like I was being rushed because I was just being stared at while trying to decide my options idk maybe it was just me. But besides that they are friendly, the two flavors I decide to choose what the fruity pebbles and the red velvet, the red velvet tasted like heaven on earthšÆ But the fruity pebbles tasted really soft are they suppose to be crunchy ? Idk I wasnāt really feeling that one I guess bc the cereal was stale. But one last thing I have to complain about is I paid 10$ each for both pudding cups totaling 21$ when I could of have gotten the half pan with four flavors for 25$ I wish this was told to me by representatives it would of really helped knowing I was overwhelmed by how many flavors and options there was, thatās why I said the customer service needs to be a lil better. When a customer comes in you greet them, which they did but at the same time if you see that a customer is overwhelmed your suppose to question them to see what they like and offer them recommendations let the customer know whatās the #1 seller not just stand there on be on your phone while you waiting for me to decide. Like I said it was my first time there and I been wanting to go there for a while now. My only complaint is the customer service like I said they are friendly but just need to interact with the customers morešÆ I will be back though to try other flavors š this time Iāll get the half pan to try more flavors at once and to save...
