After an interval of approximately 6 years, I decided to give Burger King another chance. Having been a steadfast patron for over two decades, the size, juiciness of the beef patties, fresh lettuce, tomato, and the array of condiments, coupled with the delightful taste of the bun, had positioned Burger King as one of my top favorites. However, this changed just over 6 years ago.
In my past three visits to different Burger Kings, I encountered great disappointment. The burger patties seemed dry and flavorless, reminiscent of having been left under heat lamps for an extended period. Additionally, there was a noticeable reduction in condiments, further contributing to the overall dryness of the burger. On the last of these three visits, I swore off Burger King entirely and abstained for six years until my recent visit three days ago.
While out shopping, I made the decision to try Burger King again, hoping for an improvement. I visited the Burger King located at 3703 Mundy Mill Rd, Oakwood, GA 30566, and even expressed my anticipation to the person taking my order, stating that after 6 years, I hoped my Whopper would recapture the taste of those I had enjoyed in my earlier years. Unfortunately, my experience was a profound disappointment. The first substantial bite of the Whopper revealed the same dryness and lack of flavor that I remembered from 6 years ago.
The beef patties were dry and tough, evoking a sense of having been under heat lamps for an extended duration. The portion of lettuce and soft tomatoes was noticeably minimal. To address the scarcity of mayonnaise, I went up to the counter and requested two additional packets, which I added to my Whopper. Regrettably, this attempt to enhance the flavor proved futile. The poor taste of the dried-out beef patties remained unmasked.
Having spent a career in marketing (now retired at 75), I am fully aware of the challenges that Burger King and many other fast-food establishments are facing. However, there are two burger chains that I and my friends frequent, and they consistently avoid disappointment. If they can achieve this, I find myself questioning why Burger King cannot meet the same standard.
Regrettably, I have once again sworn off Burger King, and I believe I will never return. At the age of 75, this decision is likely a literal truth, and...
Read moreI was excited to go there after my son's recital for a quick make shift dinner. I personally only wanted onion rings bc I NEVER eat fast food and I love BKs crispy, crunchy onion rings! The guy who took our order didn't look at us, and had the personality of a rock. He moved just as slow and wasn't wearing a uniform. I specifically asked for very hot onion rings since I never get to eat them. Everyone's burgers were all unmarked. I took them to the counter and asked how I was supposed to know whose burger was whose? The guy closest said, "They're not marked." Like that was supposed to be a revelation or something?! I had to finger thru them to see whose was whose... and of course the onion rings were cold and limp and half cooked. They were actually mushy! I threw them away and my family ate their food, which was also slightly cold. It's so disappointing to go there! I never saw a person behind the counter that looked in control, like a manager. They were all walking around clueless, no smiles, no 'thank you have a great day's ..nothing. Is this behavior to what we are to be accustomed now? It's pathetic. I will NEVER go to this BK again. Horrible service, attitude, poor...
Read moreI came from Burger King in Gainesville, Georgia off Pearl Nix. Pearl Nix wouldn't add a hamburger to order. And I drove off. I called them later and told them how I felt. I came to Burger King off Mundy Mill to get a snack since last location was not performing well. I just took my diabetic insulin that night and needed to eat to help absorb my medicine. I tried to get app to work and it wouldn't change location. I pulled to window and there was a car in front of me. It took forever to get their order so I drove off. It's called Fast Food for a reason. When people come to fast food. That's what they want. Had issues with this location last year. I don't care how many BK rewards you give me for my app. I'm done with Burger King and this location. I should delete the app and not come back like I did with Taco Bell. People don't know what customer service is?? And I don't want to hear about being short staffed. Not my issue or problem. And everyone is short staffed. People don't want to work and won't because they can't do a job like Burger King. Not Sorry...
