I entered the business today at 11:45 almost noon and ordered food and went to sit down in the dining room and couldn't because their staff member working in the dining room had their personal "TRUMP" cup and folder sitting on the long table while he and two other employees frantically cleaned the furniture all around us while we ate. This was a very disturbing thing to even have to try to endure on several fronts as nobody should have to enter into a lunchtime diner with employees working the area over so hard that it's unappetizing to even sit in the area, (AT LUNCHTIME) in the first place. But to have something so completely controversial as the nearly impeached President Trump centerpiece of the dining room was just over the top insulting and to a degree threatening. Certainly, it was unnecessary and should never have been in view of the customer. What this instance caused for me is to know never to come back into this restaurant ever again. Way to miss manage your employees. Here's a tip: When it's lunchtime, already have your dining room cleaned. If you want to use three workers to clean a section, rope it off. Don't let the dining room fill and then do all kinds of noisy and smelling cleaning around them. Have your crew not bring their little culty Trumpian statements to work with them. It's not show and tell. There should be a rule or a strict policy about this. I'll never go in the restaurant again because of it. Get it right or you...
Read moreThe employee taking our order acted like a zombie, didn't speak unless necessary and even then it was robotic and devoid of any hint of emotion. He was effective though and got our orders right. I ordered the grilled white fish and grilled shrimp combo. When the food came out there was a ton of seasoning on the fish. It honestly looked like the lid came off the shaker. It had so much seasoning that dropping the plate on the table resulted in a cloud. This was only on one half of the fish, the other half was OK but so dry with the edge being very much like beef jerky. I drank an entire cup of tea trying to swallow it down. The shrimp, green beans and bread stick were good. The fried okra tasted good but it was greasy, too greasy. Three of us ate with two of us having okra. The two that ate okra have been having severe stomach distress since then. Our plans for after we had eaten were immediately discarded and the mad dash for the restroom began. It's been a day and I still can't stray far from the bathroom. I haven't gone for treatment yet but I do believe we've somehow gotten food poisoning from okra. The lobby was clean and pleasant. The tea was good. no bitterness at all.

Read moreI have eaten at several Cap D's restaurants in n a couple states and locations. I can say, my wife and myself have never experienced one like this. We just had a late lunch at the Capt. D's in Oakwood Ga. From the initial order to the dessert was the most pleasant and enjoyable times we have had anywhere. The staff, ALL but especially, Kate was probably the most congenial, service oriented, hard workers anywhere. They could not been more cordial and helpful. I know I am rambling a bit,but cannot get over experiencing a younger staff of people that gave you the impression of sincerely loved their job and enjoyed working. Cudos to the owner and management for training and hiring this group. I know I haven't even mentioned the food (which was as good as always) but the staff far outshined even that. Thank you all for this wonderful feeling we got from you guys. Keep up the great attitude and work ethic. You guys have earned a new regular family of...
