With today’s prices, it’s nice to be able to come to CheddRa and get a good meal at a fair price. I usually order the lemon pepper chicken with sweet corn and broccoli. The chicken is always juicy, and the corn is super sweet. The broccoli wasn’t my favorite—it was a bit mushy for my taste since I prefer my veggies crisp—but the flavor was still good.
I also really enjoy the complimentary croissants with the honey butter. They’re incredibly rich and delicious!

My husband and I usually go to Fogo de Chão, but recently a friend recommended El Passador—and we’re so glad they did. From the moment you park, you can smell the food, and it’s absolutely divine.
The meats were perfectly seasoned, and you can really taste the quality. The black beans were full of flavor, and the Caesar salad was spot on. I also had a glass of white sangria, and it did not disappoint.
The restaurant is on the pricier side, but it’s perfect for a birthday dinner or special occasion. We were celebrating our anniversary, and they surprised us with a complimentary dessert, which we truly appreciated. We chose the crème brûlée, and it was absolutely delicious.

Parilla has been mine and my husband’s ultimate favorite Mexican restaurant around Gainesville. Our go-to meal is the arrachera steak with charro beans and rice—the meat is always cooked perfectly, and the flavor is consistently on point.
I also highly recommend trying the wings—don’t sleep on them! In my opinion, they’re some of the best wings out there. They’re juicy on the inside with a crispy outside, just how wings should be.
Their drinks are also great, making the whole dining experience...
Read moreOne of the best Mexican restaurants I know locally!... EDIT Or it was.. dropped from 5 down to 2 stars, let me tell you why. I have been going here for over 10 years. I almost always get the Pollo Ranchero. Imagine a plate 12 inches by 8 inches wide. 1 side split even with creamy Refried beans, the other with dirty rice well cooked and the remaining half filled with 2 pounded flat chicken breasts grilled and covered with queso and a wonderful rich Ranchero sauce... today I got a 8 x 6 plate with a small scoop of almost clear hard over cooked rice, Refried beans (looked ok) and a palm sized chicken chunk covered in redish sauce and what looked like melted shredded Mexican mix cheese. Chicken was rubber, sauce was basically marinara sauce. After one bite I asked the waiter what I had and said this isn't right. I accept food quality can go up and down but this wasn't right. She got the GM and this is why more than anything I am dropping my review. I explained my issues and asked if I got the right meal or if somthing had changed. He told me it's always looked like that. 10 years I have been going with multiple work friends and contractors for work. Explained that and had the 3 other people who also have been coming with me for years explain the same thing. He tells me no he has been there 10 years (never seen him in my hundred plus of visits) and no that's how it's always looked. I sent it back and wanted nothing else. I have no plans to go back, how that man (didnt get name) is GM is beyond me. If you want amazing Mexican meal don't go here. Go to LA...
Read moreI’m sad to give a bad review of this place. I have been bringing my family here since my kids were little. Now they are grown and gone. We have had all kinds of parties and family meals here and the restaurant had great service, friendly staff and wonderful food. But alas, the place is not what it used to be. They have changed the menu and with that change came smaller portions, higher prices and lower food quality. They are not as friendly and seem to look for a reason to argue with you. I thought it might have been an off night so I went back again and still had the same type of service. The waitress didn’t listen to what I ordered for me and my wife and brought us out the wrong food. When I explained that it wasn’t right she took the food to the back. She brought our food out again replated and reheated. The chicken my wife had was really dry and I got less steak for my fajitas than I was supposed to get. They brought me 6 small strips on a plate full of onions. 2 slices of red bell peppers and 2 slices of green bell peppers were mixed with a lot of onions. 17.99 for reheated steak fajitas, less than 5 ounces of meat and told me it was eight ounces.I barely had enough meat for two fajitas.I probably had about 12 ounces of onions, guess I was supposed to have an onion fajita with steak as a garnish. The waitress decided to not come back and had another server finish up our meal. This “was” my favorite Mexican restaurant but no longer. Sad, all the great memories I have at this place will be just...
