I love J Buffalo - drove by every day for nearly a year, so glad I stopped in. The food is very good, their philly steaks & wings are excellent. They also make a good gyro, which is difficult to find, and I love gyros. Dinner at J's is an excellent value, a gyro/philly/wings/etc., fries, and a drink for $8. I do wish they had better options to substitute other sides for fries. You can opt to pay a little more ($10?) for a huge sandwich plus six wings.
The restaurant is clean and the staff are very friendly. The manager does not speak very much english, but they usually have someone on the register who does. I have found their fried fish to be good, but Loretta's is just down the road (if it's fish night, oh lordy fish night at Loretta's...). The salads are also good, but not anything special. Their sweet tea is very good, I don't know what's different about it, but it's not typical southern-style iced tea. I go for the phillies and the gyros... note that they have some excellent deals on large meals, wing plates & etc. You can get a lot of different menu items to feed a crowd, at a good price.
Note that the Google info is not correct; they stay open until 10 every night, stop taking to-go...
Read moreI drove over 25miles (a long way for so called good wings etc) to this location and I was very disappointed. I ordered a 10 piece lemonyaki (teriyaki, sprinkled with lemon pepper) and a 5 piece lemon pepper/chicken philly combo. The wings tasted/smelled burned, fried to hard and the meat/bone area was black. So the wings were either freezer burned or had to be refried again (I'm thinking more so refried). The fries were in a greasy brown bag and didnt taste good. Nothing fancy about the fries, I ate a couple but threw them in the trash.
I will say the philly was half decent and I did eat that (the only reason I gave 2 stars, instead of one). The lady at the register was not friendly at all and made a point to let me know they were closing at 10pm🤔. It was about 845pm when I placed my order. So not good customer service at all. I would never go here again, nor would I...
Read moreI’m a regular here, and it’s because of the wings, fried rice and fair price.
The order taker here seems like he hates his job, but he’s never been mean or over-the-top friendly. He just does his job and does it well. I have never had an order made wrong, and I’ve been here probably 100+ times total, in the last 5 years.
My favorite wing flavors are Hot, Teriyaki, Hot BBQ and their newer flavor, Mango Habanero.
I tried an egg roll once, and it was mediocre, just like any other egg roll from a take-out Chinese restaurant.
The Philly cheesesteak was great! They gave a good portion of vegetables. The bread was toasted and soft. The meat and cheese were hot!
Service is fast. Food is normally out within 10 minutes. Service and food is consistent.
If you love wings and fried rice, and you only have less than 30 minutes to eat, this is the...
