I got spoiled at the Buford location before this opened close to my house so figured I’d leave a review since I don’t really know who to talk with and the line isn’t the best place to chat about concerns as it will hold others up and I don’t want to ever do that. Not recognizing 1st responders without a police car. First responders include: police, firemen, ems, emt, emergency preparedness personnel- this includes disaster relief and usually includes nurses, aka myself. I became a 1st responder early in my nursing career, it isn’t normal nursing, so I figure I’ll help explain it as I’ve worked it for 13 + years now.
As a first responder in emergency preparedness, we go to emergencies (think New Orleans Katrina) and assist with everything from cleaning up to wound care and delivering water and snacks to people in immediate need, traumas and maybe just handing out clipboards to make sure everyone is accounted for) and to not recognize us is insane? I do get why they don’t recognize ever hop bc it would cost too much. Education on who does what or clarify your policy, some give it and some don’t. Most of us have different type of cell service and that’s a good way to tell- bc we have to respond quickly & get our phones on the quickest and most efficient when emergencies occur- so we can respond. Another way is we also have email chains only to us- ask if you don’t know.
Some of the staff here are wonderful, a few need a little sunshine. I have one favorite, always bubbly and funny and a joy to talk with- don’t know her name as they don’t have badges but she’s the best and working drivethru today and near the building side- she’s consistently pleasant and engaging and makes my day brighter every time I see her smiling face! Many times, being a new location maybe this is why, but they are in groups of 3-4 talking and not paying attention to the lines and get backed up- comparing it to Buford, of course, Buford staff are so efficient I know it’s tough to compete. :).
They do well on the drinks, sometimes it does seem extra milky and others it is perfect but for the most part, they do a great job with the actual drink recipes/orders! They have not learned the drinks yet, some of them will say we don’t have that (knowing they do bc I have addicted and drink 7 brew a ton!) but again, maybe because it’s a new location. Thank you for opening close to my home and I hope to see this location continue to be great and I know things will be smooth soon- happy to have y”all so close! I tip well and often wonder who has passed their test to make sure I give enough for them to share- do they have a symbol showing this or anything that shows they are the ones who passed and get the tips- I love making sure they get a good fair share :) The music is louder than other locations and makes it difficult for them to get the order and many of them ask repeatedly- music is great, I love it, but maybe a notch down for the area they take the orders so they can hear a...
Read moreI love 7 brew to the core, but I’m giving this specific location a bad rating due to the setup of traffic and unprofessional management, went there today, and waited in traffic on the cfa side, sat there a long time till I got near the entrance the guy out there directing traffic had us sitting there till the “2nd” lane cleared up even though the first lane had a ton of space for us to get in line and there was no other cars coming, from the other side of 7 Brew, we still waited because the “2nd lane” still hadn’t cleared up, then cars from the other side of 7 Brew starting coming and atleast 4-5 cars cut in front of us because they were for “the first lane” , and basically allowed people who came after us, to cut in front of a line of people who have been waiting for a while, we get with the manager explain the issue and all she had to say is “this is how the traffic is set up” no that’s an unprofessional approach and our frustration felt like it wasn’t heard, I’ve been to other 7 brews and never once experienced this type of issue, it’s first come first serve , if I was there first I should be able to order and recieve my drink first, something needs to be done about the traffic set up because it’s very unorganized, unprofessional...
Read moreStopped by the new 7 Brew in Oakwood and… let’s just say they’re still working out the kinks.
The traffic setup is a mess. It felt super chaotic and unorganized, though I’ll cut them some slack since they just opened. Hopefully they figure out a better flow soon because it really takes away from the experience.
On a positive note, the staff directing traffic were friendly and had smiling faces, which helped ease the frustration a little. But the vibe was totally different when it came to the ones who took and handed me my order - both seemed like they didn’t want to be there at all. No energy, no smile, just a "here you go" kind of attitude.
I ordered a small caramel macchiato with coconut milk. It was surprisingly bland - not sweet, not strong, just kind of there. And this is coming from someone who usually finds desserts too sweet, so I wasn’t expecting to say that. Maybe it was a rushed order, or maybe they make it super plain and expect you to pay for extra pumps to get flavor.
Also… why was my cup only half full?
I’ll probably give them another try once they settle in, but right now it feels like hype...
