Taqueria El Antojito is one of those spots that just makes you feel good about your food choices. Nothing fancy or over the top, just solid authentic Mexican food made with care. The folks behind the counter were easy to talk to and really helpful when it came to ordering. No pressure, no confusion, just good vibes all around.
The portions are the real deal. You get your money’s worth, no question. I left full and happy. My tacos were packed and the toppings were on another level, fresh cilantro, onions, radishes, salsa with just the right kick!
And the flavor? It delivered. You can tell the kitchen knows what they're doing. The spices were rich enough to smack your taste buds but not enough to make you break a sweat. I also tried one of their drinks (Aguas Frescas) and it tied the whole meal together.
The place itself has a good vibe. Comfortable and laid back enough to relax and take your time. If you are hungry and want real Mexican food (not the T-Bell 😉) without the fuss, El Antojito is...
Read moreI got the wet burrito. The meat was chewy, some was hard to chew, and it had no overall flavor. Beans in the burrito didn’t have salt either so didn’t really add anything. I added green salsa to make it better, it helped but I poured salsa on their. So burrito was mid. My brother got carne asada tacos and as it was the same thing, same problem. Meat was average, no flavor, no salt. My dad got the Al pastor tacos and he said they were good. I didn’t try them but as they have a totally different seasoning I can see them being better than the asada tacos and burrito. Unfortunately the tacos looked better than they tasted. The elote asada was super delicious! They double dip all the ingredients so it was super cheesy which I loved and they weren’t stingy at all with the ingredients. Good corn taste too. Service was good!! Very friendly people and open to questions, they speak Spanish...
Read moreEdit 8/29/2020: I finally came here on a weekend and was able to order soup (menudo) and it was so good. I recommend it if you’re into trying foods from other cultures or if you’ve tried it prior. ————————————————- Delicious tacos: each tortilla is packed with lots of meat and there’s a toppings/sauce bar for guests to put as much or as little cilantro and onions as they prefer, with sliced limes, thinly sliced radishes, and your choice of salsa roja and verde. I’ve tried steak, pork, and chorizo. I’d like to try the other meat options soon. Elotes are made the way I like it. I haven’t tried the slushies, burritos, or any other available dishes because tacos and elotes are my favorites to order. Some or all the soups they sell are available on Saturdays and Sundays only. I hope they make pozole. If you love street tacos and corn AND you want to pay reasonable...
