I placed a mobile order. Arrived 10 mins. after i placed the order. A woman at the register claimed someone had just walked out with my food. They claimed they showed them the app with my name on it and took the food just before i arrived. They called the GM which was "on her way back". When she arrived it looked like she had left the shift and returned. She claimed there was nothing i could do other than cancel the order and re order. I have a strong feeling that they took the food and were covering for each other. If you order online, beware that there is a high chance that "someone" will show with a "legitimate app" and claim the food you paid for right before you arrive. I managed to get my refund through customer service. Other than the gentleman at the drive through, the rest of the staff was useless. The woman at the counter said something about "trying to get free food, it's not gonna work out." I called her out, telling her no one is trying to get free food, just the food that i paid for. She got upset and said she was not talking about me. The manager looked worried the whole time and was acting weird. I don't think it was a coincidence that my food was claimed by someone and that she was not on location when she had clearly been at work before i arrived to get my order. If you place a large mobile order at this location, there is a high chance that it will go missing and the staff won't do anything to help you. You'll be on your own trying to get your money back. I got lucky and managed to get my money before leaving the location. It still took close to an hour emailing with customer service. Other people seem to have had the same problem in the past at this...
Read moreI previously loved this place and went there often. I ordered a meal for myself and my boyfriend. He went to pick it up, and I asked him if he could ask if it might be possible to swap a thigh so I could have two legs. Well, the cashier didn't agree and accused him of trying to swindle the store and get something we didn't pay for. This is us asking to swap a leg, not get one for free. She could've taken the nasty ass thigh and trashed it for all we cared.
She tells him he needed to make the selection in the app something my bf highlighted isn't possible. She denied it, and when he asked her to show him how, then she refused to touch his phone or narrate how to do it. This led to her telling him she was done talking to him and was getting her manager.
The manager arrives and gives him the chicken and then makes a passive-aggressive comment about the Big Box deal ending this week anyway. The only way I can see that being relevant is if they were making a snide comment about us arguing over a "cheap" meal.
Let's recap. It was two Big Box meals. I ordered a two-piece "dark meat" big box and wanted two legs as I don't eat thighs. The meal costs $13 altogether, and she was so hostile she argued with my bf trying to get me a meal I'd eat and wanted for almost 30 minutes! I don't care about my previous loyalty to Popeyes. That's ridiculous, and until my complaint is handled by corporate, I don't see myself coming back especially not to...
Read moreOrdered 5 piece meal for my wife and I. I requested all thighs. Two sides, beans and rice - small portion but tasty, cajun fries - tasty but cold. I asked for two cups for water thst I intended to fill at their soda machine. Both so save money and because there was to iced tea available and we don't drink sodas. I got two cups filled with ice and water with lids and straws neither of I would use and was charged a quarter each for them. I found the biscuits thin, firm and cold. I am picky about biscuits, and didn't bother to eat them. My final comment, as I am over 80 and have been eating chicken, broiled, baked, roasted, smoked, boiled and bar-b-qued, literally all my life. Four of the thighs were cut in the middle of the thighbone and included part of the hip socket. The fifth had 4/5ths to 3/4ths of the thighbone. I have never before in my life seen chicken butchered like this. I fully expect for a thigh to have the whole bone, along with most of the reverent meat. I'm curious as to what part of the chicken constitutes the leg. However, the chicken was hot, fully cooked (a little blood near the bone is very unsettling), and very tasty. If I return, I will have a discussion about how the birds are portioned, and may be forced to stick to tenders or stick to one of the other brands of...
