Thu July 8th 2021... I'm very disappointed in the customer service I received today at Betty Cakes. Simple things like acknowledging customers can go a loooong way. Not sure why I would have had to wait more than five minutes to get cupcakes especially, when there were no other customers when I arrived and there were 4 employees available to check me out; but it was very obvious that only 1 of those young ladies-the one who is handling all the paperwork-was allowed to run a cash register.... arrived at Betty cakes about 2:15p with the intent to purchase cupcakes. 4 young ladies out front.. Was greeted & I my order was promptly placed in cupcake container. I was told that i would be checked out by young lady @ register on fone taking pymt info 4, i must assume, an order. She completed her phone conversation and proceeded to write down some follow-up remarks from the phone order. I was good with that. However she continued to do other paperwork; the young lady who originally took my order came back to the counter when another customer came in; she took care of the new customer and ask the young lady who was at the register whether she checked me out and her response was "no," and she continued to do whatever paperwork she was doing. Who Does That???!!!? She saw no value n me as a customer; so i left & left them with their cupcakes. Dont no if it matters 2 any of the 4 of them, but especially da young lady @ register, but perhaps someone who does will see this & share it with "Betty" who has placed a level of trust in this group of 4 to represent her. But MOST IMPORTANT reminding each of them of the following: "As Leaders (n this case Betty Cakes' owner) /Business Owners, we must remind those who represent us that the influence and credibility we have worked so hard to build is NOT theirs to squander." I cant imagine "Betty"...

My goal was to have a version of my and my Wife's wedding cake, that we had made in Connecticut for her for birthday for 16-years before we moved to Florida, for her birthday this year. I was told "we cannot discuss a "custom" cake over the the phone." So for a 2-HOUR ROUND TRIP DRIVE, I was told in two minutes that they cannot make what I wanted. If they did not cut me off during my initial call, they could have told me n a matter of a couple of minutes that they are not capable of making an actual wedding-like cake. This so-called bakery located in the back of a retail store, thinks too highly of themselves. They are too busy and important to answer a couple of simple questions, but make the customer drive for hours, and waste time and gas for their lack of interest. The are not capable of baking anything that you could not get a Publix. They can't even make a cake with a filling in it! Plus, I had to pay $2.99 for a cupcake to try their "white" cake, as they cannot make a yellow cake as any capable wedding cake baker could do.My recommendation is to stay clear of this place and find a...
Read moreI usually love me some Betty Cakes. I’ve never eaten here before. I have anxiety and I don’t like how open it is and how many workers there are there doing nothing and watching you. Today is my birthday and I went to grab a cake with my hubby. We decided to try the sit down food. I kindly told the lady we are gonna try dine in today. I’ve never been here before how does this work? She said just sit and I’ll come get your order. We did. She said we couldn’t sit there as it’s for spacing which no one was there except employees sitting and chatting find a place with a place mat. We did. She immediately came over and said do you know what you want? I said no we might need a minute to look as we have just sat down and have never been here before. She left and we sat for about 10 minutes and just got up and got our cake to go. We sat on our phones so she knew we were ready to order and didn’t care.
