I went back and forth on how many stars to give this KFC. I wanted so much to find a reason to give them three stars. But I couldn't do it. They are not so bad to only get one star, but three would be pushing it. First off, the drive through only way of doing business, made for a traffic jam between folks trying to order and pick up their order and folks who preordered and wanted to cut in line at the drive through. Not a very good system since I can see not wanting to wait in line if you already ordered. But I also see the folks having to wait in line to order and pick up their food because preorder folks are barging their way in line preventing folks from ordering, who have been waiting their turn. Thus making the drive through a nightmare. Probably the longest drive through ever. Too bad we couldn't go inside to order. It would alleviate a lot of the unnecessary problems. The person at the window was fairly rude, but I do not think she was trying to be. But I'm not really sure. A minor question/request seemed to be very annoying to her. You have to trust that the order will be correct, because you do not want to delay the folks trapped in the line. The food was mostly correct, There was just one mistake. We were not going back to correct or mention the issue to our window employee. Our order could be totally wrong and I was not going through that again. The chicken itself was typical KFC tasty chicken. But it was very soggy and greasy. Everything was kind of soggy because of the steam created from the humid air and hot food. But it is a little disappointing that our dinner was that damp only driving across the street to our hotel. All in all we ate our dinner. It tasted decent. It wasn't overly expensive. So mission accomplished . But honestly I would have much preferred the inside be open. especially if we could have sat down like civilized people. Maybe the employee wouldn't have come across like she despised our very existence. Maybe the food would have been better since it would not have suffered the steaming our take out endured. But even if just for take out, the unnecessary wait and hostility this KFC needlessly inflicts on...
Read moreMy wife and I went to Ocala KFC for dinner for the family and as we pulled into the drive through I told her it wasn’t going to be good but that’s what my mother in law wanted to eat. As soon as we pulled up to the talking box, I was talked to like I didn’t know what I was talking about when I ordered the 12 piece tender family meal that was posted in giant letters at the top of the menu.
After fumbling our way through the ordering process, I pulled up to the window where the talking box lady yelled the amount due at me and actually scared me because I wasn’t expecting to get yelled at like that. Her only saving grace is that she was actually nice. She told me to pull around to the double doors.
As I am waiting in front of the double doors as instructed, the vehicle in front of us pulled ahead and parked and the gentleman went inside to collect his food. On his way out, he tells me shaking his head, “good luck man”. It’s never a good sign when another customer tells you that. Turns out he was right because I didn’t get the sides I ordered and had to go inside to get them. While inside, it looked like everyone was either miserable or just didn’t care about what they were doing.
The chicken itself tasted like old plastic. The gravy had a little bit of mashed potatoes. The Mac and cheese was bland which I’m sure that comes out of a bag. The only good part of the night was my chicken pot pie.
All in all, subpar performance. Will return only for...
Read moreDear Corporate Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to bring to your attention a recurring issue that I have encountered at one of your KFC locations, and particularly to highlight a disappointing experience I had on April 19, 2024.
On multiple occasions, including April 19, 2024, around 11:10 PM, I have visited this KFC branch and have been informed that they are out of chicken, despite online information stating that they are open until midnight. This has become a concerning pattern at this specific location.
On this particular visit, at the drive-thru i tried to order a 3-piece meal, only to be told by the lady who identified herself as the manager that they were completely out of chicken. This response was not only disappointing but also contradicted the stated closing time. It appears that this location routinely denies service to customers close to closing time, possibly to expedite the closing process or for other reasons.
Furthermore, the attitude displayed by the manager on duty on April 19, 2024, at 11:10 PM, was very unsatisfactory.
I believe it would be beneficial for corporate to investigate this matter further, perhaps by sending a secret shopper to the location randomly to assess the situation. It is crucial to ensure that all customers are served with respect and that the advertised operating hours are adhered to.
I appreciate your attention to this matter and hope to see improvements...
