I want to start by saying that all the food was good. I did find the brisket to be slightly dry. Nothing bbq sauce couldn’t fix. We got the lean option. We ordered a large Mac n cheese. Price was not 4.50. They charged me 9.00. Unfortunately the receipt I was handed wasn’t itemized so I had to do the math. Mac n cheese had way too many bread crumbs. And not typical bread crumbs. Maybe panko? Mac n cheese was good though. Cornbread. Again good. 5.00 but you’d have to buy more than one for 2 people. And here’s where my review went south. I ordered two 1/2 pound orders of brisket (picture). I asked repeatedly at time of order how many pieces in an order. 4 is what I was told. This was for two separate people. You can imagine my disappointment when I opened this. Not two orders but one. 5 pieces at a HEAFTY PRICE TAG OF 5 for $34.00. So I CALLED. And the whole conversation was back pedaled. I was told maybe I was cut bigger slices? I mean come on. This was for two people. Two orders. I’m looking at reviews and clearly this is not true. I’m half tempted to call my credit card company. And then I come to this. They charge a fee for credit card use. They pass their fee to the consumer. And I get it. I see it at the register after the fact. I didn’t have my readers on. And they don’t even say at the counter are you sure you want to pay the fee. Then she tells me (again no itemized receipt) well it was only 1.79. But it was my 1.79. I would’ve preferred to given it to the employee. And I had enough cash to pay the bill. Look. Food is good. But in my opinion they dropped the ball. I still believe they shorted my order and overcharged me....

You MUST TRY the corn bread! The butter, honey, cayenne just soak into the bread and it’s amazing! It was so good I didn’t want to finish my piece, just because I would miss it when it was gone! The house smoke pork-n- beans are no doubt home made and the best I have ever had, not too sweet and they have a little heat! Personally we felt that the coleslaw could have used more dressing, but it was good. The pulled pork has so much flavor plain, you don’t need to add the sauces, and I don’t like pork so that’s saying a lot! But we did really enjoy most of the sauces.Tried something a little different, the smoked Brisket cheese steak was good. But honestly the meat is so flavorful I was disappointed in myself for having it covered in cheese. Next time I would get the regular brisket sandwich and enjoy the heck out of just that briskety-goodness!! We did also try the rotisserie chicken. It was good, I hate to say there was nothing that bowled me over about it, but I would definitely order it if I was in the mood for chicken. We tried all these dishes as “carry-out”, (still Covid cautious) and the food was great! No doubt dining in the food will be even better! When it’s cold winter outside and you wish to feel like barbecuing in summertime, here is the perfect place for that! The benches for dinner, warm indoor temperatures, the bbq burning smells also the creamery ice cream as dessert are all summer vibes for us!

Our order was: Meatballs sub A good flavorful of meatballs sub, but the hands down is for the chips! They are sooo good, crispy and crunchy and super tasty, you will start asking do they sell the chips separately? Or can we get more free chips?

St. Louis Ribs "Always Fresh" Heritage Berkshire Pork St. Louis Ribs! Sooo soft the meat fell out of bone from single bite, the meat was marinated well deep into the bones.

Slow Braised Chesterfield Farm Collard Greens This is a must have side dish, next time I would just have this as main order. It’s a complete delicious dish with bacon, sausage and collard all slowly braised together. Yuuum 😋😋

Corn bread A must have, finger licking good! It’s not an ordinary corn bread, but a different level good of cornbread Yuuum 😋😋

Long Live The Queen ice cream! It’s very creamy and soft and perfect as a dessert after the bbq adventure!
