Takeout order review
Restaurant: 5/5 Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Location/Parking: Convenient Free parking lot with plenty of space.
Went here with my girlfriend during beach season, the seafood is fresh and beautifully seasoned, not only that the staffs are very friendly.
-Restaurant- The restaurant itself looks very clean, and makes you want to order more. You can tell they take great care of this place.
-Food- We ordered "Coastal boil with few add-on items" A bit expensive, but that's to be expected with supply chain issues and inflation combined. However it is well worth the price, because the food is fresh and taste amazing. Snow crab legs are usually my favorite item to try at any seafood restaurant, freshness, size of the crab legs and the texture (will tell you how long it's been frozen and how old it is). The crab legs are pretty good size, and tasted sweet and fresh. Seasoning is great but not too much where it overpowers the fresh taste of seafood, it simply enhance it.
-Service- This is one thing that might not matter to some people, since it is takeout. But having positive service experience even though it is takeout, can make a huge difference in determining if someone wants to return or not (even if food is great). They have definitely gone above and beyond for our visit. When we ordered the boil, we're told 15-20 minutes, we arrived a little earlier, and when we arrived the lady at the cash register, told us couple more minutes, so we paid and waited outside near our car. She could have simply told us our food is ready, but instead she brought out this huge crab boil to our car in the parking lot and put in our trunk, because she was worried it might too hot for us to handle. I hope we get to see her again when we visit next time.
Overall great restaurant, great food and great service. It is rare especially in an area that attracts so many beach...
Read moreWe ordered the Ben Franklin Crab & Lobster pot for 4 adults and took the short drive up the Coastal Highway to pick them up less than an hour later. The pot was chock full of potatoes, corn on the cob, clams, shrimp, snow crab crab clusters, lobster tails, and the most incredible spicy Louisiana andouille sausage you’ve ever had. Delmarva Boil Company layered it into the pre-packed boil tin and provided easy to follow cooking instructions. They also provided perfect seasoning for the mix and a large tin tray for easy serving and cleanup. The condominium we’re renting in Ocean City only has an electric cooktop and we were concerned that wouldn’t suffice for cooking; but it worked just fine as the folks at Delmarva Boil Co. said it would. The whole thing took about 40-45 minutes to cook to perfection and couldn’t have been easier ... we just added a 12 oz pale ale and one cup water to the mix and were ready to feast on a spectacular bounty of the ocean’s shellfish before we knew it. Everybody in our group had a ton of fun and the food was definitely 5 star. Every item in the mix was top quality and delectable with the shrimp and Louisiana andouille sausage being the real standouts. Like many others, I usually don’t bother to eat the sausage in most seafood boils but every last piece of the sausage in the Delmarva Boil pot got scarfed down by our group. The folks at Delmarva Boil Company provide a unique dining experience that’s every bit as good as the best restauarants in and around OCMD! Try them out and you’ll be thrilled...
Read moreWe recently went to OC for our yearly girl's weekend. After reading so many positive recommendations on a couple local Facebook groups we decided to get dinner from here. There were 6 of us. We ordered 6 boils, 3# of snow crab legs, 1 1/2# of scallops, and 2 dozen mussels. (Steamed by them) First impressions of the place were just meh. It's small and in a small strip center. But, it was really clean and they were super efficient. They even helped me carry it all out to my truck. I'm going to admit, I was worried when we went to pick it all up. Growing up in MD, there are certain smells you expect when you go into a seafood place and they just weren't here. All doubts I may have had were quickly laid to rest when we tore into it. It was DELICIOUS!! I don't know if it was a great "value" but we were on vacation and it was 100% indulgent. Everything was cooked perfectly. The flavors were on point. We were all stuffed and we had plenty of leftovers. There were no complaints and in over 20 years of friendship, I don't know if we've ever been as quiet as we all were while enjoying this meal. We are already looking forward to coming back next year! Thank you Delmarva Boil for a great meal. Can't wait to see you...
