So disappointed. We went looking for Gammy B's (the previous tenant) and were bummed to find a Fractured Prune. My daughter got the kids meal which was 2 doughnuts and a small milk. She got 2 Rolo doughnuts that had caramel glaze and chocolate chips. She ate one and about a half, spit out her last bite, and gave me the other half. I ordered the Breakfast Club that was supposed to be 2 eggs, bacon, ham, and cheese on white/wheat bread or a bagel. They had just run out of bagels so I was stuck with bread and (see photo) received some strange spongiform egg thing, one piece of pre-cooked bacon, and a sliver of ham all of which were carefully crafted right in front of me in a shiny microwave. Just a footnote...While we were waiting for our food, I watched the guy that was making the doughnuts reach into a garbage can with his gloves on and continue making doughnuts (gross). When I called him out on it, he argued with me, but after I insisted, he did change the glove. The whole thing was rather pathetic for what had been an OC institution. I really could not have been more displeased and will never visit a Fractured Prune...
Read moreI am not complaining about the food, but complaining specifically about the service. I’ve visited Ocean City throughout the year frequently for about 16 years. About a year ago I visited this location and tried to order doughnuts with an iced coffee. I asked for a little less ice in my coffee and an older man at the counter started wagging his finger in my face and attempting to lecture me about my request. If you don’t want to do it just say you can’t and I’ll begrudgingly accept it. But for him to wag his finger in my face while talking down to me was extremely insulting. I have never been disrespected by customer service like that before. It left a terrible impression and honestly the man who did that should not be in the service industry. Maybe the service has improved since then, but it was to this day still the rudest customer service I have...
Read moreWe all love an “original”.... I’m no different.... I’ve been enjoying Fractured Prune Donuts since they were true originals made at Josh’s Market on 46th Street. Had to run into 144th to get a dozen donuts for my family and found out that truly “original” Fractued Prune donuts are only made at 127th and 144th. Seems as though the “corporation” was sold, that’s why we’ve seen Fractured Prune locations spring up everywhere and apparently those locations have decided to change the basic ingredient that made this donut recipe so delicious and famous. So, if you’re like me and desire a truly original product, I’d suggest you head to the 127th or 144th location where all is well with this unique...
