Ponzetti's Pizza — Restaurant in Ocean City

I was down Ocean City for work. Craving pizza, so I did what we all would do. Jump on Google and typed in "pizza near me" Mostly every place was closed. Almost gave up. Until I noticed a place called Ponzettis was open. Not only were they open, but it said open until 2am! Saw good reviews online and had to check it out myself. Boy, am I glad I did. What a cool spot! Right on the main drag! Easy to find. Carry out, dine in, sit down at the bar. They do it all. I walked in, and the atmosphere was vibrant. Very cool art and signage on the wall. Packed with friendly faces. I knew this was a nice little spot. Approached the counter told them it was my first time here, The bartender was courteous and friendly! I ordered a personal pizza with pepperoni and jalapeños. Had a cold beer while I waited and checked out some things. Noticed they do a late night happy hour 12-2 with great deals on beer and shots. The pizza was well priced especially for being down the beach. The bar and dining room were separated very nicely for customers to enjoy themselves separately. You could go out with friends to drink and party at the bar, Or you could take the family and sit down and have a nice dining experience. I was VERY impressed with the whole experience. It left me wanting more. I told myself man I gotta come back here. Even with the bar being packed with people. Even with multiple people picking up orders. Even with people dining on the other side, My pizza came out timely! Faster then I tonight it would be honestly. Hot and fresh! Great crisp on the crust. Barely any flop. Plentiful with pepperoni and jalapeños. And tasted delicious! I was thinking, man, this place seems fun and I will be back! If your in ocean city looking for a slice. Leave grottos alone. I will give it to them the pizza is very good tasting, 15 napkins to pull all the oil off the top.. and I definitely got a lot of attitude from the waitress. I am one that has no problem paying extra for anything I want. I asked if she could check with the kitchen I want an alfredo sauce Pizza just like a white pizza with alfredo sauce on it it's amazing to do it taste so damn good it's crazy and I've heard they're alfredo sauce is amazing she told me they're probably way too busy to do that, which I believe if it was busy but this place has half empty. Now I get it I can be picky I asked if I could have one of the little side sounds first and what was on it she said tomatoes and onions which I don't eat, I said so no cheese croutons you know like basic stuff she said no I said okay can I order a bowl lettuce with cheese and croutons cuz that is what I eat and could I have it right away cuz I'm extremely hungry and I wanted to get something in me she brought it dropped off the salad and walked away as fast as she could and the problem is there's no dressing just seems to have a lot of attitude considering they are not extremely busy as she said. There is a difference between steady and extremely busy.. and I am extremely good Tipper whenever the service is good and they're on top of their game but I can't stand attitude.. when I have to edit my post I just got my bill and for the house tossed salad the salad itself is only $4.99 because I added bacon on top of this 499 salad they charged me $5.99 to add the bacon on and another 499 The Shred some sharp cheese into it and like I said this is on top of the...

If i could do a no star..i would..but its a one thru five..so i gave it a one!!..I've been going to ponzettis for 30 yesrs! Ordered 3 pizzas 2day!! From the crust..to the sauce..to the cheese...it DID NOT HAVE PONZETTIS TASTE..AT ALL!!!My family was very disappointed..I called ask to speak to manager..mayb he was busy..but they hung up or somehow got disconnected so I called back...spoke to a girl who answered the phone..I asked her if the place was under new management or did they change the recipe or was there some kind of issue that they had 2 use something else from thier origanal products..???..her answer...was no..nothing changed ..& just..sorry !! THATS ALL SHE SAID.....it wasn't only me..I was wth other 7 ppl & they all did not believe the pizzas came from ponzettis..but they did..I'm sure bc i went in & picked up the order!! Wow!! Not only..Poor customer relations.but the biggest disappointment was the pizza was NOWHERE NEAR WHAT IT USE TO..& THE LAST TIME I ATE THERE IT WAS ONLY 2 MONTHS AGO!..& it was great!
