The Little House Of Pancakes — Restaurant in Ocean City

I ate here a couple of months ago & just remembered that I never left a review.. This was literally the WORST experience I’ve EVER had at a restaurant in my entire life. -firstly, as we walk in, we are so RUDELY and sarcastically greeted by the owner. He acted like he was sickened by our faces. Rude looks, sarcastic tone etc. (I can’t believe an owner would ever treat guests this way. As you can see in other reviews, we’re obv. not the first people who had dealt with this rude, despicable man) -When we finally get seated, (it took forever) our waiter was also so rude. Acted like he didnt want to be there and hates his job. It’s obvious that the general vibe in this place is so negative. I mean, I wouldn’t want to work there either. -after waiting forever, we finally get our food. This food looked more disgusting than the food you can buy from a gas station. I decided, OK maybe it just looks gross and taste great? Let’s try it… oh I was so so so wrong… It was absolutely disgusting. 711 has better food. I actually almost vomited on my plate because it was so bad. My husband shared the exact same feelings about his meal. We were sooo disappointed. We were starving and literally couldn’t even eat this food because it was so gross. I wouldn’t even feed this to my dogs. -minutes later, I see a freaking roach run across the floor by my foot. I almost screamed, but composed myself. At this point, I was DONE DONE & we quickly paid & left. -I will never ever return to this disgusting establishment with the most rude and undeserving workers. (It’s mainly the owner who’s the rudest tbh) idk how this place is even still up and running with roaches running around, absolutely repulsive food, and even worse service. I see they’re all closed and boarded up lol. Deserved....

I am a huge fan for this restaurant, I’ve enjoyed the food and the staff, the owner/manager is a Walter from Jeff Dunham puppets. Anyway my sisters and I went to this restaurant and everyone enjoyed their meals. Our waitress went out of her way and was friendly. Long story short, I ordered the veggie omelette and I never get cheese, however this time, there was a little bit of cheese in it, it was not a problem and I was willing to keep it and not make a fuss about it, I was good. However, the waitress came to the table to check on us and questioned how was everything and I mentioned it, she was ready to take my plate and I told her no and it was okay, no big deal. Well I guess it was for her and Walter/owner. I was approached in a way I’ve never seen before and it was extremely upsetting and rude. He demanded I open my omelet and I explained that was at the beginning of the and I know what cheese taste like and again it was no big deal, I kept it, continued eating it and again it was no big deal and I told him I wasn’t and didn’t as for anything. He really gave me the business and was pretty much calling me a liar and at that point I was done and he caused an unnecessary scene. I asked for the bill and left, I’ve eaten at this restaurant for many years and have never experienced anything like this before and because of this, I’ll never go again, this sad because it was my FAVORITE restaurant! PLEASE READ ALL BEFORE EATING HERE!!! The food was pretty good for the price, and the waitress we had was nice(quiet, but kind). However, upon reading other reviews I can see I am not the only other one that witnessed what is giving this restaurant its bad reviews. The owner was absolutely horrible. He was abusive to these poor women on so many levels. My small children and I witnessed what looked to be a man(the owner) in his at least 50s or older belittling multiple of his younger female staff in front of many customers. He was never kind to any customer that walked through the door, was constantly telling the bus girl she was basically incompetent(my use of a nicer word), and to top it all off, my young son and I watched this man physically grab what looked to be like maybe a 17 to 20 year old hostess by the arm so hard it would have left marks if she weren't in a sweatshirt. This place is very small inside so all can be seen and HEARD! We watched/heard another newer waitress be told to stay busy bc the main cook DOED NOT like when people stand in front of his window and the owner would also be upset. I am beyond sad that we had to support a business that was so poorly ran. I hope these poor girls do not feel like they have to be treated so poorly in order...
