Sea Star Diner — Restaurant in Ocean City

We stopped here this morning to meet with our friends who were already sat down, we have 10 month old twins. We were told we could stand at the table where our friends were while we wait for our table to be cleared, they cleared a different table quicker which we were very happy with. I then asked the waiter if they had high chairs, he said yes and went to get them. Then out of the blue the chef ( owners son) in the kitchen told us aggressively they would get us seated when they can. I then told him we had been sorted and told to wait while they got our chairs, he then stood and stared at me like he wanted to come round and fight lol. At this time the waiter came back (mouthy chefs brother) and proceeded to start having a go at me whilst I was holding one of our children, telling me no one talks to his brother like that. My wife and I said we will not be eating here due to this verbal abuse and proceeded to leave, whilst 3 or 4 of the wait staff shouted at us to leave and threatened to call the police. This establishment is a joke, the two sons seem to work as a very scared tag team to try intimidate customers. The father had to come outside and apologise for his sons foul behavior, which this was the second occourance today. AVOID THIS RESTRAUNT AT ALL COSTS!!!!! After sitting down for what should have been an enjoyable meal my juice was forgotten, maybe because the male server didn't write anything down. When looking at the menu or there lack of we ordered two of the specials of sausage gravy. After the order had been put in not seeing alot on the menu that I really wanted to start with, I hear the cook yell from the back that they are out of the sausage gravy. Normally wouldn't have been a big deal but I didn't see much else I had to have. The server got the menu again and I said no and asked him to bring us the bill of the drinks. I then proceeded to get asked if we are going to eat the food that it was already being cooked and the cook yelling out to the front as well. At which point the male waiter starts arguing with me bc we wanted to leave. At this point a female server comes in and starts in on me and yells back to the cook that we are "rude horrible people" and then comes over and tells us it's time for us to go. All the while a 2nd male server is apologizing to us as we walked out the restaurant. Most unprofessional staff definitely would not recommend unless you like to be verbally abused by staff. Not...

Fantastic breakfast diner. The chipped beef over toast was delicious. Thick, creamy, and seasoned. My son had the French toast and devoured 3 slices in less than 10 minutes, so that speaks for itself. The bacon was thick and fully cooked. Perfection. I swear they had the best coffee I have drank from a diner, ever, but I can not rave enough about the waitress and hostess. We arrived on the day that most of the staff had called out from work. The waitress serviced every table singlehandedly while the hostess took orders, cleared and cleaned tables, and served drinks. I was impressed that they both had a fantastic attitude during their chaotic morning. Patrons were upset, waiting attention NOW, and the staff stayed pleasant. I tipped them both because they deserved grace and appreciation for their actions. The food alone is worth my return, but the service made it a definite. Ladies, I'll see you before the beach...
