By far, the worst experience I’ve ever had at ANY Starbucks. I went in to redeem my birthday drink. It was super busy but I wasn’t in any rush. I patiently waited in line then stood to the side while I waited for my drink to be made. My go to is a venti Java chip frappe with half white mocha. The woman informed me they no longer have Java chip so we used the cookie crumble instead, no big deal. When they called my name with the drink, it was a grande. I politely told the woman I ordered a venti. She said “I guess I’ll have to remake it then” and she disappeared. After a few minutes I told another woman. I will refrain from naming names. This girl was a skinny blonde girl with major attitude. I told her I ordered a venti and they accidentally made a grande. She looked at the sticker (that said grande) and looked at me and said “no, it clearly says grande on the side.” I told her I ordered a venti and used my birthday treat. She went and told someone in charge and the other lady told her no big deal just make another one. So blondie goes and grabs a venti cup, fills the bottom 1/3 with whipped cream, pours my original drink back in, then tops it off with more whipped cream to make it appear full. At this point I’m getting hot. I said nahh, you need to make it correctly, not just use whipped cream to make it appear like a venti. She walked away with more attitude. Check yourself, chick. After she did that, I talked to a THIRD woman who actually remade my drink. There was a fellow dad standing next to me who stood there for 15 minutes waiting for his drink to be made. They had his drink partially started and left it there. Literally let it sit there and moved on. Get better Starbucks. This might be the new norm with people in “this next generation” but even as a male in my 30s, I won’t take...
Read moreI love Starbucks! I go everyday but the location on 123rd Ocean city, md is the WORST! I placed an online order before i left condo. Said 810 itd be ready. So walk inside not started, so figured drive thru id get faster because they cater to that faster. Sitting there to hear they cldnt find order for car in front of us. So we FINALLY pull up to be told 1 drink is ready we can pull up and go back around thru drive or walk inside for other drinks. WOW! So wait another 10min. Then i leave and call to speak to a manager to be told he cant speak to me. Dont have the app available there if not gonna make drinks on time. I understand busy,ok but not to be told to do a double take thru drive thru! I actually called Corporate since the employee gave me an excuse not to put a manager on. It was the wait when i pre ordered 20min before then to be told i had to pull back around thr drive thru or come inside!?!? Kidding me! App orders are made to avoid waiting! I have NEVER been told to pull bacl around any drive thru. Just horrible! Customer...
Read moreI stopped by the Starbucks just north of the hotel I was staying at and had an overall acceptable visit. When I arrived, the store wasn’t particularly busy, but service was a bit slow. A staff member who seemed to be a shift lead or manager got up from her workstation around the time I walked in and had what appeared to be a work-related conversation with the cashier. While not a huge deal, it felt a little out of place to hear internal business being discussed out in the open with customers nearby.
That said, I understand that sometimes things need to be handled on the fly, and it wasn’t overly disruptive. It just contributed to the slight delay in getting my order. Once my drink was ready, I was pleased to find it made just right. The quality and taste were exactly what I expect from Starbucks.
So while there’s some room for improvement in terms of timing and front-of-house professionalism, it wasn’t a bad visit by any stretch. Certainly not the worst experience I’ve had at a Starbucks, and I’d still stop by again if I were...
