This place is a hole-in-the-wall on the other side of the 7-11 at 120th Street and Coastal Highway. There's no dining on the premises, it's a carryout place, but there is a picnic table in the nearby parking lot you can eat at if you are desperately hungry.

I've been going to Rippons since 1998. I've never ordered steamed crabs, I'm not a crab fan, but I have ordered the Baskets and Platters: fried shrimp, fried clam strips, fried scallops, fried fish, etc. A fried shrimp Basket with french fries as the side will run you about $12.50. A fried scallops Platter with two sides will cost you about $21. I've always been happy with my choices, the food is fresh and reasonably priced. You can expect a wait - the food is cooked to order - so calling ahead may be a good idea.

We ordered shrimp salad sandwiches and fries and it was very very good! Very generous portion of fresh tasty shrimp salad on fresh potato roll and provides package of mayo fresh lettuce slice of tomato and also comes with chips & pickle. I also ordered side of fries which were very good also and sharable with my husband. We will definitely be back to visit here. I would say the overall restaurant quality of ocean City can be disappointing, so consider take out from Rippons. There seafood is incredibly fresh. There crab cakes rival those of neighboring businesses. They have the best crab deviled eggs. There are plenty of indulgent sides to choose from and you will get plenty of food. I am a personal fan of the Alaskan king crab legs because theirs is better than most places lobster. The coconut shrimp is also very good.
