Absolutely a lovely ride! Grateful for all the hard work it must take to put on an incredible show. Truly beautiful and stunning. A perfect activity for the holiday season! My only complaint as someone who works in customer service and is constantly graceful, understanding and kind with my guests at my store where I proudly work, some of the staff here were VERY rude. I go to work every day with a smile on my face and give amazing customer service, especially to guests that are kind to me in return. Tonight we simply were inquiring about going for a second ride as we had paid before. We weren’t trying to sneak on or anything, just asking if it was a one ticket one ride policy. Instead of a kind response we got hit with a sarcastic and rude “can I help you” and implied suspicion that we were nonpaying guests trying to sneak on when all we had was a question. We were treated with suspicion, sarcasm, and honestly trash customer service. I have been to this light show probably a dozen times in my life and the audacity of these people was on another level. Like I said before I have a 40 hour a week job in customer service, I deal with difficult guests and kind guests. We were kind with them as we just had a simple question but we were treated like we trying to break a rule or that we didn’t pay. If there is one thing my team leaders have taught me in my nearly 5 years of customer service it’s that customer service matters, especially to guests that are kind.
Again, this is a beautiful light show and the majority of the staff are very kind people and I know they work hard to put on this light show and I just want everyone to know how much I appreciate the staff who were kind and graceful like the people at the food stand!! Please come and please enjoy it! Just don’t let yourself be treated the way were just for asking a question. Much love to Winterfest and those who work so so so hard to put the show on! I know how hard event planning is, trust me been there done that so you’re work is ssoooooo much appreciated. Will come back for sure as I always do, let’s just hope we won’t get the same sarcasm and trash customer service for simply asking a question. Merry...
Read moreWe always enjoy Winterfest, but tonight was extra special! Although we love the tram ride previous years, we actually liked walking through better.. taking our time and being able to walk around as many times as you wanted, stop and look around as you pleased etc. We took our babies for their first Christmas and they loved it. Wasn’t overly crowded (on a Thursday) and all of the people working were so nice and accommodating. Especially* the elves and workers (and Santa!) in Santa’s workshop. They did not pressure us to buy a picture as we walked in to see Santa. The nice lady at the entrance of the workshop was so kind and said we could use our phones to take a picture with Santa instead of purchasing- she was not pushy at all but still kindly showed us the merchandise and frames we could purchase for the Santa picture. It just felt like a classic Ocean City event, where it wasn’t about making money it was strictly about the holiday season and good times. The lights were absolutely beautiful and stunning. It was unbelievable how many different lights they had. Could have walked around for hours. Mrs. Claus came out and took a picture next to our stroller, and the ticket booth and entrance employees, and gift shop employees were super nice. THANKS WINTERFEST! Happy Holidays. Have to go back because I missed the...
Read moreWinterfest of Lights in Ocean City Maryland train ride and walk is so amazing. Every year more and more of my friends young and old come to visit and see this beautiful event. The Santa building for photos, the shopping tent with photo backgrounds, the hot chocolate hut, and numerous other photo ops displayed throughout the village make it a fun filled night. Plus, purchasing holiday light sabers, wands, or twirling toys from the vendor hut has become a competition of sorts with all my guests and family members each year. If it's cold again this year, I'm bundling up with gloves and hat, buying double portions of hot chocolate, and snapping lots of photos of our red noses and...
