Amazing Bagels and Deli — Restaurant in Ocean Township

$22 for 4 bagels - two plain. $11 for one bagel with cream cheese and a drink. The guy at the counter had trouble taking my order. He threw the bagels in the bag, unwrapped - different kinds, all touching. There was barely any cream cheese on the bagel and basically all on one side. He charged me $3.75 for a sprinkle of jalapeño shreds in a cup when I asked for jalapeño cream cheese on the side. The small container of strawberry cream cheese cost more than the bagel. The prices are NOT as listed on their menu inside. I asked for my receipt and he acted like it was hard to find and then immediately grabbed it to "explain it" to me so I instantly knew i was right in thinking he over charged me. He rang up more costly items in lieu of the bagels to charge me more but of course he was "giving me a deal" and "doing way better for me." They're scammers and dishonest. The bagels are very small and thin and they do and say anything to try to justify charging you for things you didn't order or more than what the listed item cost. This is my favorite bagel place. The bagels are TOP TIER. The bagels were fresh. The serving sizes are filling. I didn’t go in but my boyfriend did. He ordered a bacon, egg & cheese sandwich with butter on both sides toasted for me and it was BY FAR, ONE OF THE BEST BACON EGG AND CHEESE SANDWICHES IVE EVER EATEN. So much so he had to go back in to order another one for me. My boyfriend got the lox on a bagel with cream cheese, tomatoes and onions. He said it “That lox was so good” ! He was in awe. He went back in for a cream cheese bagel with butter on both sides for me and another sandwich for him. We got 2 orange juices and one chocolate milk drink, total was $29.16 for 1st order & when we went back in b/c it was THAT GOOD, our total was $15.12. Pricey, but worth it for amazing quality, amazing tasting food. They also added a salad and bag of chips in our first order for free which was so thoughtful and kind. With business being so cheap with cutbacks, it was such a nice gesture. I highly recommend...

One of the worst bagel orders ever. The bagels themselves were super skinny , barely had no seeds for a everything and the consistency of the dough was super dry. Eggs were so so overcooked and cheese was hard. The breakfast potatoes were horrible, they use some kind of sauce so there wet , they just tried to do something different when all you want was traditional fried morning potatoes with salt and crispy here and there not stewed potatoes. I personally would never order here again. The food took over a hour to come so maybe that’s why it was aweful. Not my style bagel shop.
