QDOBA Mexican Eats — Restaurant in Ocean Township

Rt 35 Oakhurst, NJ My wife and I were excited to eat at this new location in Oakhurst because is closer to our house. However, we experienced a real deception. Note that we have had great experiences at the Freehold mall location.

We were there at 1:45 pm approximately and observed that the food was almost finished. It looked like the restaurant was ready to close. Since we did not see any signs by the kitchen employees to replenish food to the bins, we decided to order. We ordered two chicken burrito bowls and the service was terrible, the servers were rushing us while giving us attitude. Note at that the restaurant was not busy at all. In addition, the portions being served were so small. It looked like the servers are trained to serve less food to maximize profit. I asked for onions and peppers and the pieces were so big, the cilantro seemed unwashed ( I am assuming the number of employees in the kitchen were low and needed to save time). We went to get our silverware and forks were NOT available, therefore we ate with spoons. I am a Qdoba girly over anything else USUALL. Last night I went into Qdoba after a long day of work for dinner. I do in no one speaks to me or says hello. Everyone looks angry and fed up which is not the usual when I go in Qdoba. I don’t pay it any mind. When I go to make my bowl there is literally nothing. Barely any rice, 0 chicken, 0 corn, no cheese basically I was looking at just a little bit of rice and black beans. Eventually after being told there are all out again and again. I just say forget the bowl and thank you. The women with a stank attitude doesn’t give me an explanation into why there is nothing ready there was two people behind me as well who ended up just having to leave. I was really disappointed in this, one I had to go to bed hungry and two the people inside were mean and nasty and weren’t even the slightest bit of apologetic for not being able to make any food. This really sucks as this is really the only Qdoba in the area so now I must revert to other places for bowls...

Rt 35 Oakhurst, NJ Curb appeal of new buildings nice, once inside doors, dirty appearance and attitude of guy taking order was really bad. He seemed like he hated what he was doing and did not have knowledge about the menu. Due to the appearance and attitude issue we were surprised when the food was better than average which will cause us to give this location one more chance to correct the issues. Everyone knows how young adults and teens are with the lack of work ethics in general but not all. I put the issues squarely on management because they need to be very specific what is expected as it relates to attitudes and cleanliness of the restaurant and if the hires cannot perform properly you must remove them or you will be a short term occupant at that location.
